Tony LaRussa was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving in Florida early this morning. Apparently he was found asleep at the wheel of his SUV at a stop light. He gave two breath samples and was determined to have a blood alcohol content of .0093, with the legal limit in the State of Florida being .008. The man is 62 years old and the manager of a baseball team. Maybe he was just tired….
In other drunken driving news, Vivica A. Fox was also arrested on suspicion of drunk driving last night in California. Apparently, she blew past a marked police car on the 101 doing 80 mph. She was unable to perform a field sobriety test and blew over the .08 legal limit on two breathalyzer tests. Apparently Wednesday nights are a big boozing night for the celebs!
Calvert DeForest, best known as Larry “Bud” Melman died at the age of 85. He had been a regular on the David Letterman Show from 1982 - 2002. There was supposed to be a tribute to him on Letterman’s show on Tuesday night, but it was postponed after Adam Sandler took over for an ailing Letterman that night. Woody Harrelson’s father died of a supposed heart attack in a Colorado prison. Harrelson’s father was a convicted murderer and was serving two life sentences for the murder of a federal court judge.
The DNA of Dannielynn Hope and Larry Birkhead has been taken, so it will only be a matter of time (four days approximately) before we learn what we’ve known all along: There is no f’n way Howard K. Stern is the father of that child. I really hope it’s Larry Birkhead. Even though he’s one of the dreaded paparazzi, he seems like a nice enough guy and really wants to be a father. Howard just wants his very own cash cow.
Britney Spears has left rehab but this time, it’s because she actually finished her treatment. She left Promises yesterday and has asked for everyone to respect her privacy. What’s the over/under on when she’ll be back in a bar, shaking what her momma gave her? Honestly, I hope she goes back to Louisiana and takes some time for herself and her kids. That girl has issues! Oh yeah, and I hope she gets some better wigs.. maybe she should talk to Ken Paves, Jessica Simpson’s mane man…
Nicole Richie has been diagnosed with hypoglycemia, which kind of explains why she’s been a fainting mess on the set of The Simple Life. Girlfriend needs to eat a burger and some sweets, that’s what she needs.. Get her some sugar!!!
Last night was very mellow. J. and I were exhausted for some reason. We went to dinner at the diner and then came home and snuggled up in bed watching the movie Sublime. It looked a lot scarier on the trailer. I always seem to fall asleep during the most climactic parts of the movie, so I’ll have to ask him what the deal was. I saw the ending, but missed just prior so I didn’t really get what happened. So, I have yet to watch America’s Next Top Model or Top Design, but I hear Michael got booted from Top Design. I’m ok with that. He was kind of whiny and irritating, then again, very few people on that show aren’t. Finally, Sanjaya is still alive.. must have been that crazy, crying kid. The bottom two were Stephanie Edwards and Chris Richards, with the surprise being that Stephanie went home! Oh well.. everyone loves drama and this seems to be it.
