I've heard of streaking and all, but this is kinda ridiculous.. Speaking of graduation, congrats go out to my cousin Michael, who graduated from Ichabod Crane on Friday night. It was a great party on Saturday, where we played some beer pong and bonded as a family ;)

I played beer pong on Thursday night too, hence my needing a Sausage McMuffin to get through work on Friday morning. My cousin and her man finally made it to our house and we proceeded to drink our way through the evening. Which would have been great, had I not had to work the next day. Still, I made it through the day and even got to see SYTYCD. I was NOT really disappointed with the ousting of Chelsie and Chris, especially since I get to see a new couple in Comfort and Thayne. THAT should be interesting... Anyway, Chelsie was fine... but not overly enjoyable and Chris got a pretty raw deal, what with the krumping and all last week! That, and he sweats a lot... It was his time and he knew it.

So yes, my cousin and her man were in town and they are leaving today. It was fun to have them here, but I'm anxiously looking forward to getting my house back into order. That, and the boy is eating me out of house and home! He's skinny, but he sure can put it away!!! lol.. Their flight leaves tonight so I didn't even get a chance to say goodbye, but hopefully I'll see them again soon!

Craziest injury ever...

O's could only manage to pull out one game of the "beltway series" this weekend, but it's better than none! If you are anything resembling an O's fan, better start hustling and vote for B-Rob to make the All Star team.. he's 5th in voting so far... WTF?

Oh good god, the drama. That's really all I can say.. It's like being back in high school, but without the Z. Cavaricci jeans and big hair...

Speaking of high school, why do some things come back into style?

One more reason to love George Michael..

It's pretty sad when you're SOOOOO used to taking mug shots that you know how to make yourself NOT look like a hot mess when doing it..

I don't watch tennis, but holy upsets going on at Wimbledon! Maria Sharapova, Andy Roddick, and James Blake are all out in the early rounds..

But not to worry... the Pope does NOT wear Prada...

Our ball game last night was not quite the ass whooping we'd anticipated, which was nice. We got beat 12-2, my glove broke (again) and we didn't go back to the other team's bar. They're not the most fun team to hang out with and their bar doesn't serve great food for our games. Instead we went back to Jackson's and I stayed out later than anticipated. My cousin Chrissy was my driver and we had both planned on going home early, but were having a good enough time to stay till about 9:30. I know, we're CRAZY! My cousin from Florida didn't make it to the house last night.. She stayed at her brother's since she and her man went out for a few drinks, but I'm pretty sure they'll be making an appearance at some point today. I told her she better... we didn't get that bed for nothing!

What a gloomy day... it took all the strength I had to get out of bed this morning... Now I have to force myself to the gym. Maybe some fake sun prior to my workout will give me the little extra boost I need.. TGIF!!

This may be the gayest thing I've ever seen.... And I don't mean that in a bad way!

Poor Heather Locklear - I'd go into rehab too if this is what I came home to every night...

Don't forget to watch the second season premiere of Shear Genius tonight!!!
As I've made abundantly clear, my friends are co-owners of Savannah's in Albany. Well, Saturday night they had some unexpected, but entertaining visitors. Apparently, Brian Cody from Fly 92 called and told them he was bringing some guests. Everyone was running around crazy to get things together, as said guests turned out to be Coolio, Blake Lewis and Simple Plan. That same day was Big Day Out, their annual concert, and these acts headlined. For some reason, Sue didn't think it important to call and try to get me there, but she did relay the information and how much fun it was. Apparently the band that played before the DJ was still on stage when the "stars" came in, so they got on stage and jammed with them. I hear it's going to be up on You Tube pretty soon, but I couldn't find it when I looked. I mean, I can't say I'm a huge fan of any of them, but Sue said they were all really nice and down to earth, which is kind of what you want to hear about a "celebrity." And hey.. Coolio is getting his own reality show, so he'll probably be on top of the world this time next year (and not just up in the clouds from smoking too much weed).

Speaking of reality stars, here are some blasts from the past.

J and I went to see The Incredible Hulk last night, and it was actually quite good. Granted, I waited till the movie ended to get my Tony Stark cameo, but it was worth it. And hey, if you like that sort of thing, lots of times Edward Norton wasn't wearing very much! But seriously.. it had a really great romantic storyline, but it didn't overpower the action. The effects were very good, although there was only one time where they showed Norton's actual transformation from Bruce Banner into the Hulk. Add in some entertaining cameos from Stan Lee and Lou Ferrigno and you've got a pretty decent flick on your hands.

Ball game tonight and my cousin should be landing at the airport as we speak. Therefore, hump 'em if you got 'em.. It's Wednesday after all!

Things I am ashamed of liking, but will like them anyway:
1) Denise Richards: It's Complicated - I kinda like her. She swears like a truck driver, is really close to her dad and doesn't have extensions. I don't know.. I didn't want to watch this show, let alone like it, but I think she's entertaining. And that Charlie Sheen is kinda batshit crazy, but that's neither here nor there considering she's not necessarily firing on all cylinders either. However, that's kind of what I like about her. I know she did this show to show people "the truth" and I guess I'm now a bit of a convert.. But I still don't think it's all that complicated.
2) Miley Cyrus: 7 Things - It's catchy, ya gotta give it that. I'm just hoping when I download it onto my Ipod it doesn't say Hannah Montana as the artist. As an almost 32 year old woman, I can deal with having Miley on my Ipod (kinda) but Hannah Montana is kind of.. well... wrong.

As I believe I've mentioned, my cousin and her boyfriend are coming up from Florida tomorrow, and they're staying at our house. The new boxspring and mattress are coming today so once tonight is over, the room will look like a REAL spare room and not just where we throw everything. I got my new bedspread yesterday, which I love! It looks perfect in my room and I don't have to change a thing (yay!). However, it is heavier than my other bedspread so I'm going to have to get used to that. I have yet to hear any plans for the trip from my cousin, which would be nice since Tre and I both have games tomorrow night. I have no idea when they're coming in or anything. Yep.. living in Florida, still drives me nuts :)

Last night, Tre ran 8 miles (ish) and wanted me to go with her to map it out so she knew exactly what she did. I have been craving a milkshake for weeks, so I thought I'd go with her and maybe stop to get one. Well, we came up Warren Street and saw Lick, a new ice cream place. It didn't take much convincing to get Tre to stop and i got the milkshake I'd been craving (vanilla bean). Tre got a scoop of banana and cookies ice cream on a sugar cone that she raved about the whole time we were there. The ice cream is different - flavors you've probably never seen before, but good! Granted, it's downtown so it's kind of expensive (my shake was $4.25 and Tre's single scoop cone was $2.75) but it was nice to stop there just before 10 and still be able to get what you wanted. Apparently there's another ice cream place that opened where the Oakdale Deli used to be, so I guess we need to try that one out too!

The death of George Carlin came as quite a shock! Granted, the man is 71 years old, but there was no indication (much like Tim Russert) that anything was wrong with him.. at least not to outsiders. He will be sorely missed in the comedy community, and even garnered a posthumous Mark Twain Prize for Comedy. Also lost this weekend was Dody Goodman, who I know best as Blanche in Grease and Grease 2. She was absolutely hysterical in both and considering she was 93, I'm sure I missed what can be considerered her best performances. Sucky day for comedy huh!?

So, it's finally occurred to me (less than three weeks prior) that my body and I are NOT going to be ready to compete in the boilermaker. Hell, after the debacle that was the OK 5K, I'm not sure what I'm capable of! Anyway, they do have a 5K prior to the 15K so I thought maybe I could transfer to that. Well, no refunds, no transfers. Bastards. So now if I want to do it (which I really do) I'm going to have to eat the $30 I spent on the boilermaker and spend another $20 to do the 5K. I hate to do it, but I think my body might think it's worth it after the whole peeing incident. I mean, if I peed my pants at a 5K, imagine what would happen to me during a 15K? My bladder might literally fall out of my body!

In between finishing up the spare room tonight, J and I are planning to catch a movie (God, I love summer... there are about a million movies he actually wants to see and I could care less as long as there's popcorn involved). We haven't decided if we're going to see Get Smart or The Incredible Hulk. I'm betting it's The Incredible Hulk and I'm ok with that. I want to see both and I love me some Edward Norton. I'll let you know how it works out.

As always, Kathy Griffin was the epitome of hystericality.. That might not be a word, but if it's not, I just made it up to explain how f'n funny the show was! She came on just after 8 pm and ended the show right before 10. Two solid hours of stand up, in which she crucified the Lohan, E! Reality television, Ryan Seacrest and the Spears family, not to mention countless others. There were entertaining stories about her mom, yet not a peep about Clay Aiken! I was shocked. I think I had more fun laughing at my sister laughing. I know she didn't expect it to be as funny as it was (although I can't imagine how) and everyone that went had a good time. Speaking of people that went, do I have a story for you:

Tuesday night, one of the people that was supposed to go (we'll keep it anonymous, but I have a hunch you'll be able to figure out who it was) asked Tre on Tuesday if we thought we'd be able to find someone to take his/her ticket for free. Tre was like "um.. no!" and come to find out this person wanted to golfing instead. So, Tre offered to go the next day. Everyone wins, right? So we thought.. Anyway, Friday night comes around, Tre and I are pretty excited about going to the show and person who shall remain nameless walks into our house in an obvious bad mood: Barely said hi to Tre and when I asked if he/she was excited about the show, he/she shrugged their shoulders. So I said "well, if you're not going to have a good time, don't go!" This person said "fine, I won't" and left the house... drove away! Tre's mouth was WIDE open... She was like "what the f just happened?, as was I! Anyway, I'm the first one to admit that I have a tendency to be a bitch and maybe too truthful about things, but the way I said it wasn't the slightest bit like that. I was really excited about going and I was really shocked that this person really could have cared less about going. I mean, Tre usually takes everyone's side but mine and she totally didn't, so I'm 100% sure I did nothing wrong and I have no intentions of apologizing for it! Anyway, we left the house and said person didn't go. Hey, he/she already paid for their ticket. If they have $55 to waste, good for them! I don't! We tried to get other people to go, but it was three hours before the show so it was a little difficult and we were unsuccessful. As expected, this person went golfing instead and I could only imagine what story would be told to my friends that were also golfing. I mean, I knew I was going to be painted as the bitch and the reason for him/her not going but I'm SOOOOO not taking responsibility for this one! It was obvious from the get-go that he/she didn't want to go and my saying what I said just gave him/her the excuse not to go. Come to find out, this person told basically the same story that I just told you, but told everyone that he/she had a headache and didn't feel well and that's why he/she just left when I said what I did. Must have been a REAL bad headache if he/she could still go golfing (Ok.. now THAT was bitchy.... but again... True!) Regardless, we had an awesome time and it's unfortunate this person had to miss it and create a situation that could have been avoided with a simple phone call saying they didn't want to go. Would have been better than the scene that was made!

We started with dinner at Savannah's and it was AWESOME! There were so many things we wanted on the menu that we already know what we're going to order the next time we go! I had a cajun chicken sandwich that was great, while the others (see, I'm still doing good on that anonymity thing) had chicken stir fry and a chili burrito, both of which sang their praises. So basically, if you're up around Pearl Street, give Savannah's a shot! I would appreciate it, as would my friends :)

Enjoy your Saturday... I'm off to make my "famous" buffalo chicken wing dip and more than likely play a few drunken hours of Rock Band... Maybe I should practice before I go. It's been a while.. Happy Weekend!!!

Footnote: Don't any of you bitch at me for not calling you about the extra Kathy Griffin ticket.. I had someone who wanted to go, but she didn't say no until too late, so there really wasn't much time to do anything about it!

Friday, June 20, 2008

I'm SOOOOO excited cause tonight is the Kathy Griffin show at the Palace. I've seen her once before and she was absolutely hysterical, and I'm happy that I've turned my sister over to the dark side and she's going to the show as well. Me, Tre, Danny and Shell are headed to Savannah's first for dinner, then to the show. C. Howe - I hope you're green with envy. Actually, I know you are! ;)

The cautionary tale of the century, Jamie Lynn Spears had her baby the other day, a girl named Maddie Briann. Seriously, that Spears family has to be a little more creative with their names. Don't get me wrong, I like Maddie.. but Brian is her brother's name and Jamie and Lynne are her parents names. There are a million other names in the world. Think of one! Luckily for Jamie Lynn, Britney wasn't in the delivery room. I mean.. at least now the kid's got a fighting chance of not being an emotional trainwreck before she's 2!

I got a new bedspread yesterday. I had this whole plan to get a different color (my room is pink and brown and my lamp is also pink) and to spend the weekend painting the part of my room that needs to be painted. Then I realized not only was I going to have to paint the border, but the ceiling as well. I really don't have the time or the energy for that. My cousin and her boyfriend are coming into town on Wednesday for my other cousin's high school graduation, so I really just want to get the spare room situated before they get here. All that painting was really going to cramp my style!

The O's completed a sweep of the Houston Astros last night, with their 17th come from behind victory. Suck it Tejada!!!!

I've got to get ready for my night o'humor, so enjoy your weekend!!!!
Not only is today (supposedly) the happiest day of the year, it's also Take Your Dog to Work Day! I can't say anyone here did that, which is probably a good thing. No one likes the doggie that piddles on your foot while you're trying to file.

Last night's SYTYCD results show was a little anticlimactic for me. I mean, I have no idea how Susie made it to Vegas, so I can't say I was surprised when she landed in the bottom AND was kicked off the show. I was a little surprised that Marquise didn't survive, but it might have been because Susie brought him down a touch. That, and his solo wasn't quite that good. Thayne and Chris really showed personality, while Marquise just... well.. did tricks. So once again, no new couples are forming yet, but it's still early.

While I was disappointed the Top Chef reunion show was not as Anti-Lisa as I'd anticipated, I laughed my ass off! They had a segment regarding the "bromances" on the show, with a slightly disturbing clip of Richard telling Dale what gorgeous nipples he has. Speaking of Richard, he appeared via satellite, as his Wife was expecting his baby girl any day. As of this point, I'm going to assume she had the baby (as I'm confident the reunion show wasn't taped Wednesday) so Congrats to him and his family! Stephanie not only won Top Chef but she was also the fan favorite, which I wasn't really happy about. I like her, but give someone else a shot to win, fans! Obviously, they could use 10k!! Bravo is slightly famous for their t-shirts, and this one is no exception. You can thank Andrew for one of the funniest catch phrases in Top Chef history!

The Happening may be the creepiest movie I've ever seen. I covered my eyes, jumped about a million times (much to J's amusement), talked to the movie screen and I think I may have gasped a few times. If you like that kind of thing, see it. I did like it, but I couldn't wait for it to be over cause I wasn't quite sure what was going to happen next and I didn't like that feeling! It was really suspenseful and creepy as all hell. It's kind of like watching a car wreck. You don't want to look, but you have to...

Wednesday, June 18, 2008

Ok.. so I had to go somewhere today where I had to wear a suit. I know, all this secrecy is killing you, isn't it? Anyway, I also had to go through a metal detector (No, I didn't go to jail!!). Well, none of my suits fit: they were either too big or too small. I decided to wear a too big one so I didn't split the seat of my pants and embarass myself. So, I walk through the metal detector and it goes off. The guy looks at me and says "do you have any more metal on you?" My response: "Well, there's a safety pin holding my pants up, do you think that'll matter?" I did get a smile out of him, and instead I took my watch off. Thankfully, it worked.

I will always love "Moons Over My Hammy."

It's Wednesday... you know the drill..

Tuesday, June 17, 2008

It was kind of inevitable it was coming, but who knew it'd come like this?
I've got something going on tomorrow morning that I didn't expect. I don't think I'm completely ready to say anything about it, but you'll be the first to know. Just wish me luck in the interim!

If any of you are like me, you need to get your Rescue Me fix. You can do it here...

Last night I FINALLY sat down to watch Gone Baby Gone... Wow.. it really was a great flick, but one hell of an ethical conundrum. I highly recommend it and am really peeved it took me so long to get around to watching it. I am so used to seeing Casey Affleck as the dopey, funny buddy, that it kinda freaked me out to see him in a real, adult role. He's way more talented than I ever thought he could be.

Once this was done, I happened to turn on HBO (one of them) and Georgia Rule was on. I admit, I had it on my Netflix list and it was kinda entertaining. It certainly wasn't as bad as I had anticipated it would be, but considering Lindsay Lohan's "bad girl" role, it makes me wonder if she was really acting.. Tre and I sat and watched all two hours of it and have to admit we weren't sorry we did it. At the very least, that's one more I can take off my list. I might be getting close to getting it down to 100!

I swear to God you need a degree in rocket science to work our new dryer. I'm good with the washer, but I can't seem to get the dryer to dry clothes in under three hours. Plus, it has a sensor so it doesn't STOP drying until it feels the clothes are dry, which sounds great, until the clothes don't dry. I look at the time and it says 15 minutes.. then 20 minutes later it says 33. I read the manual and everything and I just can't figure it out.

I miss the REAL Desperate Housewives of Orange County so much.. Luckily, Jo and her ex Sugar Daddy, Slade Smiley have a brand new reality dating show on Bravo, where they attempt to find Jo a man. It's got the potential to be a trainwreck of epic proportions.... much like the Top Chef Reunion show should be tomorrow night. I mean, it's basically gonna be a Lisa bashing to the extreme and I can't wait to watch it!

Got lots to do and little time to do it in, so enjoy your evening and I'll get back to you when I can.

Me, Tre and Kate at Mexican Radio
Yep.. J and I had a good time
Dont' mess with Chrissy's sexy face..

Amy and I at Savoia

As per usual, Flag Day was a good time, and now J really understands why it's a big deal in Hudson.. Cause it's the only thing Hudson makes a big deal of! We started at noon at Fish's house and kept the party going (some longer than others). Lots of beers, some margaritas, dancing and 69 pictures later, the night was over. Next year is another year...

Friday, June 13, 2008

Longest Day Ever... That's today.. It's only 11:oo.. Five more hours to go before I start the weekend. Yikes..

Last night I burst out laughing watching the first episode of Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List. I can only imagine what she's going to come up with when I see her next Friday. I might have to wear those Depends Jen said she was going to get me after my 5K pants peeing debacle!

The first SYTYCD results show was on last night, and Rayven and Jamie got the boot. I can't say I'm really surprised, but I thought their hip hop dance was really funny and well executed. I think the problem was that they were the first couple to perform, and there were some really good performances in between, so they got thrown by the wayside. At least we know no one will have a new partner this week.. I don't think they do that yet.

I have to stop promising posts.. I should keep you in suspense.. especially since I don't really have the time or interesting news right now :)

Oh yeah.. I'm THIS close to shaving my head.. I got my hair cut on Monday thinking it would solve all my woes and stop me from looking like a hot mess, but alas, that is not the case. If I were skinnier I'd just chop it into a cute little pixie and deal with it, but I really don't want to have boy hair and I don't know if I can pull off something shorter or if I want to. Where's a celebrity stylist when you need one?

Thursday, June 12, 2008

Yeah.. my day off kind of got away from me.. The washing machine/dryer guys gave us a window of 10:30 - 2:30 and they got here at 2:35. Talk about f'ing up my beautiful day off.

Thankfully, Stephanie was named Top Chef, the first female one ever! It was pretty evident it was going to be a female, as Richard really shit the bed during the competition. Surprisingly, Lisa stepped it up hardcore during the finale, so Tre and I (and Amy, as evidenced from her many texts to me during the show) were pretty sure an upset was in the works. I mean, Lisa did well, but considering her performance during the show, I really don't think she would have been the right "Top Chef." Stephanie was certainly the right choice and I couldn't be happier than if Antonia had won!

The one thing I did accomplish today (besides cleaning my room like a good girl) was to watch last night's episode of So You Think You Can Dance. The top 20 were pretty good and I'm not 100% sure which couples will be in the bottom 3. Problem is, with that many couples, the ones from the beginning of the show are hard to remember. There were a few standout performances and I think I have a few favorites (Joshua and Katee being one of them), but it's really too early to tell. The results show is tonight and hopefully my faves will still be standing!

Also tonight is the debut of Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List. I swear, Amy (holy crap - two mentions in one day? You totally owe me) told me I should get into "You've Got the Look" that ANTM for women over 35, but all my Bravo shows are starting (Shear Genius, Kathy Griffin, Project Runway, etc.) so I don't know if I have the time or energy for such a commitment!!

My back is really killing me today. Last night, during our softball game (which was a clusterfuck of epic proportions that I can't even begin to explain) I was playing 2nd base (better than usual) and went out to right field to catch a fly ball. I'm pretty sure I would have had it, but I heard our right fielder coming on and he had a better angle than me so I tried to get out of his way, to no avail. He caught the ball but in turn, knocked my feet out from under me and I fell right onto the small of my back. To be honest, it didn't hurt me last night but right now, it's pretty sore. I took some Bayer Back and Body, but I don't think it's kicked in yet.

I'm in the midst of watching Strangers with Candy (at least today I can say I finally caught up on my Netflix, watching the rest of Kalifornia and this) so I'm gonna get a move on. I am pretty sure my day tomorrow will be full of.. .well.. not much, so I'll try to post more tomorrow. TGIF!

Wednesday, June 11, 2008

Don't forget, the Top Chef finale is on tonight.. Tune in to see if Lisa can pull off the greatest upset in Top Chef history (although I'm rooting for Stephanie)

Hump 'em while you got 'em (how you like me NOW Amy O!? )
J shaved off his goatee!!! I just kept staring at him last night. He's a million times cuter without it. Thank god for the heat wave cause he insists he shaved it "cause it was too hot." Makes me wish we lived somewhere notoriously warm.. So it's gone.. for now..

I don't know if I mentioned it, but J screwed up his knee pretty bad at work last week. He was out of work all last week and was in an immobilizer, but they didn't give him crutches. Therefore, his back was killing him because of the way he was walking. We went to the mall on Sunday to get him a knee brace for work, which seemed to work better for him than the immobilizer. When he went to work on Monday they sent him home because he didn't have a note saying he could go back to work (the note said he was due back on the 7th, but he forged it for the 9th). He then had to go back to the ER to get a note with restrictions, so now he's working in another department until his orthopedic appointment.... on JULY 2ND.. Seriously? It's still very swollen and I have no doubt that he'll need surgery, but he can't see an orthopedic for a month!? Unreal..

It's f'n gorgeous out right now. I couldn't be happier! My sister bought a new washer/dryer and I get to stay home tomorrow so the guys can deliver it, and it's supposed to be really nice out. I have no idea what to do with my day but I think it'll include some cleaning (my cousin and her boyfriend are coming in two weeks and staying at our house), running (NOT in oppressive heat) and looking for a new bedspread. My new bed came today and I'm thinking of changing up my room a little bit, as my bedspread would match so much better in the spare room, where my OLD bed is going. Yep.. we're gonna have a REAL guest room. Way better to sleep on than the futon, that's for sure!

OMG - how did I forget!? We went to Savannah's on Saturday night, which is the place my friends own (Speaking of which - HAPPY BIRTHDAY PETE). We had only intended to go there for a drink or two, but it turned into a night of grape cosmos, jager-bombs and LOTS of dancing. I proposed marriage to the bald bartender (I didn't tell J that part) and kept telling J that I was a mother fuckin' VIP... which apparently I am. The DJ was great and she played anything we wanted to hear. Apparently they had a record night and I can't remember the last time I stayed up that late! It was a really awesome time so if you ever need a place to go in Albany, give Savannah's a try! I didn't take any pictures cause I was waiting for another friend to come, but her friends didn't want to come in.. apparently it was too "small" for them or something. They have no idea the fun they missed!

When I got home the other day, my mom had left presents for me: These are two of my favorite books from childhood, and THIS is just the icing on the cake. I only had it on VHS so watching it wasn't as easy as I'd hoped. I almost watched it Monday night, but I had a lot of other things I needed to get done first, like FINALLY watch Pump Up the Volume. I was a bit of a Christian Slater fan way back when, so I'm shocked I never saw this movie when it came out. What can I say? It's no Heathers, but it ranks up there on my Christian Slater list.. Speaking of Heathers, I totally need to get that on DVD.. I haven't watched it in ages, but it's the first movie I ever owned. I still remember my mom walking into my room on Christmas right when Heather #1 says something to the effect of "You want to fuck with the eagles, you have to learn to fly." Yeah.. perfect timing.

Time to get back to work.. I'll try to get some gossip and such in later, if not, I PROMISE to give you a little something something tomorrow... :)

Saturday, June 07, 2008

I know a Saturday post is rare, but I really couldn't help it. I competed in my first 5K this morning and I finished it without stopping to walk! Obviously, I wasn't doing it for time, but I did finish in 37 minutes and 30 seconds, which, considering the heat, I was pretty happy with. It averages out to about 12 and a half minutes per mile and if anyone has seen the length of my legs, you'll know that's pretty quick for me to run! I really pushed myself, especially the last tenth of a mile to the finish which as I crossed the finish line, I peed my pants. Yep.. couldn't stop myself no matter how hard I tried (and believe me, I tried!). At first I was embarassed, but apparently other people have done it and it's kind of a funny story. I guess I'll never forget my first 5K, right!? Anyway, I just want to thank Jen for running it with me, even though she probably could have done it in half the time. It was really great to have someone there to push me through, because I know I would have stopped if it hadn't been for her. Then again, I might not have peed my pants so maybe I shouldn't thank her quite yet ;) Tre finished at 29:58, which is perfect cause she wanted to finish under a half hour. Can't get any closer than that, right!? I guess this means I need to step up my training so I can NOT be the last person to finish the Boilermaker when we go. (FYI - I was far from the last person to finish today.. I think - I finally breezed past the power walking old man during my sprinting tenth of a mile to the finish line).

Holy shit.. it's hot as balls today. I've already taken a shower and just from sitting in my house, I feel disgusting. We're headed out up in Albany tonight, so I needed to shower anyway, but I hope it cools down a LITTLE. I mean.. it's beastly, and it looks like it's going to be that way through next weekend. Ewww.. as long as it doesn't rain on Flag Day I guess it's all good. What happened to Spring? Seriously...

I'm at work by myself today, which means I have a lot to get done in a short amount of time, but I could NOT get through the day without wishing my wonderful friend Christopher Thomas Howe, (Esq) a very Happy Birthday! Make the bars of Greenville, SC wish they'd never met you ;), but leave the boys begging for more!

I was running late this morning (thanks to my new "habit" of going to the gym and/or working out in the AM) and forgot my Ipod. The silence is driving me absolutely crazy. Seriously.. certifiably crazy. I don't think I can concentrate if I only have one thing to concentrate on. I can actually hear my brain thinking and it's not a good thing. It sounds kinda squishy.

Last night I was watching an audition episode of "So You Think You Can Dance" that I had taped. Every time someone made it to Vegas, I had to hold back tears. Ok, it was less like holding back tears and more like choking back sobs. If you're a man, be happy. PMS is a scary, scary thing, and not just for the men who say the wrong thing during it.

I have paperwork all over my desk and I found this little red bug on one of them. Now I feel itchy and like bugs are running up and down my legs. I'm sure it's just a figment of my imagination, but it's still a freaky feeling.

I know this is late, but I want to congratulate my friends Shannon and Scott, as Shannon gave birth to their twin sons, Cooper and Brayden on Thursday, May 29th. Shan had to have a c-section about a month early, but the boys and mom are now home and doing well. Cooper was 5lbs, 3oz, while Brayden was 4lbs, 6oz. Congratulations and best of luck (even though they'll be Yankee fans)!!!

I've been very busy lately (both in and out of work) so I apologize for my lack of blogging. I shouldn't have posted so often, now I feel as if I've set lofty goals! Let me see if I can hit some important stuff before I go back to doing what I should be doing:

Ewww... I wish I could say more, but I can't.. Oh wait.. I can.. thank GOD it's through artificial insemination cause if it was real sex.... I shudder at the thought. That, and this woman is a record producer and the only person she could think of to inseminate her is Clay Aiken?! Oh honey no...

Apparently Angelina's twins are still in her belly, although reports have been insanely conflicting over the last few days.

Yowser... Not a total Betty, but a VAST improvement.

Wednesday night I went to dinner with J's brother, sister in law, sister, brother in law and niece at Smokey Bones in Albany. I wasn't a big fan of Smokey Bones (they kinda didn't make my burger or something to that effect) but I was fully entertained by J's niece. The kid dances like it's nobody's business.... or a stripper. I guess it all depends on how you look at it. Granted, it's way cuter when a kid shimmies her shoulders than a woman of a certain age.

Friday night, J's sister held a Bachelor/Bachelorette auction at Bombers Burrito Bar as a fundraiser for Relay for Life. Oh... My... God.. I don't know if I've ever laughed so hard in my entire life. It was slow goings at first, but once people got the load on, the money flowed! J battled hard and won his sister's friend for the bargain basement price of $210, which (believe it or not) was not the highest bid that night! I believe they raised almost $3,000 and it was such a great, drunken time.

J and I watched 3:10 to Yuma on Saturday night and that was a really good movie. I don't particularly like westerns, but it looked really interesting so I figured I"d give it a shot. Well, that and Christian Bale was in it. I mean, I saw The Machinist for God's sake and he looked like he was on death's door in that one! Anyway, it moves along pretty well and there are lots of faces you kinda recognize, but can't place, which I always like in movies. I like having to IMDB until the lightbulb goes off ;).

Sunday night I went to see Sex and the City with some friends. It was really good! I don't know what I expected, but it was one of those movies where I never once looked at my watch, even though it was 2 hours and 15 minutes long. You CAN go see it even if you didn't watch the show (there were little synopses of everyone's storyline at the beginning) but it's better if you know background and the inside jokes. I won't spoil it for anyone, but I will say there were plenty of ups and downs throughout. That, and I don't recall ever seeing the little movie theater in Hudson that packed... especially on a Sunday night. A friend of mine waited in line for an hour and a half to see it on Friday night, which is so not normal! She saw it again with her mom Sunday night so it must have been worth it. Now I just have to pick a night to go with my mom!

I have more to say, but no time. I'll try to keep up if you will...

Is it bad that I was happy the Universal Studios fire was in California? Cause I don't know if I could go to Universal in Orlando and be without the King Kong ride...

Best News Ever....
