Happy Birthday Cal!!

Can't wait to get to the house that Cal built on Saturday!!!

I know.. I'm on vacation.. but I couldn't resist:

Of the 13 shows listed, I am an avid fan of 7 1/2 (I can only give Parks and Recreation a half cause it's barely been on TV)... Yet you people trust my TV judgment... There's something wrong here.. Regardless, it must be cause you have as shitty taste as I do and for that, I thank you.

Seriously people.. How could you NOT want to see if the secret ingredient guy from Iron Chef can do anything more than maniacally announce ingredients?!

Vacation back on...

VACATION

I'm gonna have the blog on vacation for a few days.

I've acquired a virus on my home computer, which isn't allowing me to post and giving me more headaches than I need so I don't want to keep anyone in suspense. Hopefully I'll be able to post again by this weekend.

Unfortunately, I have no birthday weekend pics for you to enjoy, as I spent the entire weekend playing ball, but I hope to soon regale you with stories regarding Big Brother, Project Runway and the clusterfuck that is most certainly my life ;)

Perhaps while you aren't reading my blog, you can find me a sugar daddy.. work on that!

Happy Summer to All! I'll be back soon, I promise!

I found out today that there is a Mennonite Church in Chatham. I saw the sign, but didn't think much of it, but then I saw actual followers walking into the church. I'm talking, wearing the little hats and simple clothes.. the whole shebang! Call me ignorant, but considering the only thing I know about Mennonites I learned from Salome on Make Me A Supermodel! You can file this under "you really DO learn something new every day!"

I went to the outlets in Lee today, and found out that I CAN fit into the jeans at Banana Republic, but their large shirts are far from large. It was my first time shopping there, as I've seen lots of my friends find cute stuff, but apparently XL is not an option. The one shirt I did find in an XL was too big.. I must be a semi-XL! I then ventured over to the Gap where I waited way too long for someone to wait on me. I don't understand how these outlet stores have no one manning the register. I mean, isn't the whole point to SELL people something so they can give you money for it... AT THE REGISTER!? I had a guy walk by me three times when I was the only one in line at the Nike outlet. I was waving my gift card in the air and he STILL walked right past me... I finally had to ask him if anyone in the store was working. Bitchy? Perhaps, but time was of the essence and did I mention he walked past me three times? He's lucky that's all I asked.

I saw a vending machine that takes credit cards today. All I have in my wallet at the moment is a winning $2 Lucky 7's lotto ticket, so I was really excited about it, except there was nothing in it that I wanted bad enough to test it out.

Last night I watched Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian on Chelsea Handler, and I have to say, they kind of stole the show away from her. They could care less about what they say, as evidenced by their conversation revolving around putting a mayonnaise mask on each other's "vagene." Pretty damn funny if you ask me. In unexpected Kardashian news, Kourtney (who spent time last night discussing her kissing of chicks in Miami) is preggers! She's not letting anyone in on who the baby daddy is just yet, but it'll only be a matter of time before US Weekly has a slew of men gunning for illegitimate fatherhood, regardless of the fact that it's probably her lying cheating ex. Ahhhhh love!

In other news about E! shows, Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett are expecting a baby boy.. I feel bad for him if he's not even slightly jocky, considering they're both pretty athletic!

I watched The House of Yes tonight and while it was entertaining, I'm just not down with the whole incest vibe. Regardless, I do love it when Parker Posey plays crazy..

Tomorrow night I'm going to the ValleyCats game with work. Apparently we have 70 some people going. They buy us dinner (hamburgers and hot dogs I hear) and the tickets, and we bond over baseball. It's supposed to be a nice night out, so it should be a good time. After that, my co-worker has decided we should go out in Troy for my b'day, and who am I to say no!? So.. birthday weekend starts tomorrow at 5 pm and I am looking forward to it, even though I have absolutely no idea what's going on. I'm way too OCD and anal retentive to not know what's going on days in advance. This is seriously killing me! However, ball game Friday night and then some drinks at MJ's.. that's the best I can do! So what I'm trying to say is, don't expect any posts till afterwards and maybe (if you're lucky) there'll be pictures to boot! I'll do my best yet make no promises!!

Finally, CONGRATS go out to Rob, who after lots of time spent in a shitty employment market, landed a job and will start on Monday! We'll celebrate when I get to Baltimore (finally)!!

Have a great weekend everyone.. I'll think of you while I'm relaxing, playing ball, drinking and sweating my ass off!

It's a miracle! Two ball games in three days and no rain outs.. Let's hope this trend continues (minus insane humidity). THAT would be awesome!

Congratulations to Jennifer Hudson and fiance David Otunga, on the birth of their first child, a son. I just can't get over the fact that he was a contender on "I Love New York." Talk about an upgrade. Good choice David!

I keep seeing the commercials for Taking Woodstock and I can't wait to see it! I wonder if I'll see anyone I know, as it was filmed not far from here. As a matter of fact, there was a local screening of the movie a few weeks ago, and even director Ang Lee was present. Not too shabby Columbia County!

Bull Durham was on Sunday afternoon. It took every ounce of strength I had not to skip the christening and ball game, just to listen to Kevin Costner (Crash Davis) wax poetic about "the show" and other such things. Someone PLEASE explain to me how Kevin Costner would ever lose out in romance to Tim Robbins. Granted, Costner won out in the end, but Sarandon chose Robbins for life!

Jeremy Piven showed up on Big Brother Sunday night to promote his new movie, The Goods. I'm kind of glad I wasn't in the house because I probably would have fainted, made an ass out of myself or both. I could just see me drooling all over his cute little ass and not being able to form a complete sentence. That would be incredibly awkward on national television.

One housewife seems to have "lost" her home, while another wants to sell hers. Apparently it's better to be a housewife in NY, as opposed to Atlanta. They can't seem to hold onto a mansion to save their lives!!!

Why, oh why can't Young Hollywood learn to keep their clothes on!?

I didn't get into Sons of Anarchy in the first season, but I've seen so many commercials for it lately that I'm slowly becoming intrigued... because I need yet another show to add to my DVR series recordings! Speaking of things I'm intrigued by, you can bet that while I'm watching Mad Men this Sunday, I'll be taping Antonio Sabato's new dating show on VH1, where (if you saw the sneak peek the other day) his ex-wife is an unexpected suitor vying for his affection. Awkward and just one more reason why I ADORE VH1!

Does anyone else think Paula Abdul might actually be better off without Idol!? I mean, everyone wants her and it seems like people are actually taking her seriously, which was NOT an option after "Hey Paula!" Latest news is that Paula will guest star on Ugly Betty. Granted, it did nothing for Lindsey Lohan, but perhaps Paula can turn the tide!!!

As for the O's, well.. not much is going on, but did you really expect there to be?! Just trying to get through the season and hopefully they're holding out some greatness for when I get there in two and a half weeks!!

I'm a little sleepy and I'm trying to enjoy Rescue Me, so I'm going to call it a night. Tomorrow is a hump day (allow me to live vicariously) and that means only two days left of my work week. Birthday weekend starts Thursday at 5!!!

This morning I ran the Ken Hummel Memorial 5K in Stuyvesant. Thankfully, it was a beautiful morning to run and my co-worker, Ashley joined me. We kept a pretty good pace, even though I haven't ran seriously since the Boilermaker and she hasn't ran in months. We were both pretty content with our time (mine was comparable to what I did in the OK 5K back in June) and then we rewarded ourselves with breakfast!

My sister comes back from Myrtle Beach today, and hopefully that means I'll be able to sleep again. I have slept terribly all week, as I hear EVERY single thing outside the house. Of course, I live on a main road so there are LOTS of things to hear and for some reason they all sound like they are IN the house.

Runaway Bride is on. I love that movie. I love Richard Gere's hair and Christopher Meloni's enthusiasm, which means I will let slide the fact that he proposed to Julia Roberts (in the movie of course) as I'd always dreamed I'd get proposed to you. Yup... at an O's game.

Speaking of the O's, the unloading continues! I'm sad to say that the O's traded Gregg Zaun to the Rays, subsequently stating their confidence in Matt Wieters. They also brought up Chad Moeller to take the place of Zaun. I mean, I like that they're excited about Wieters, but I have always like Zaun! 3 more weeks and I'll be in Baltimore to see it for myself!

Jeanine Mason was crowned America's Favorite Dancer on Thursday night, beating out Brandon, Evan and Kayla (in that order). Like I said, I was happy with whoever won, but it was nice to see a girl take it AND someone as talented and seemingly sweet as Jeanine. Also, I like that fact that she never used her time in the spotlight to garner any of the sympathy vote that she could very well have received. The girl won it fair and square, on talent and personality alone.

The rat FINALLY went home on Big Brother, when Ronnie was evicted. He used his time in the house to rip into Michele for no reason but that she wouldn't use the veto on him and (obviously, since she's still there) played the game better than he did. Jeff was the winner of the Coup D'Etat power, which essentially allows him to overthrow the HOH and put replace one or both nominees. Since Russell had already put Ronnie on the block, Jeff did NOT use the power this week, but he still has next week and with Chima as HOH, he just might need to use it to save himself, Jordan and his "alliance." It's getting a little crazy in there, as Chima and Russell had a crazy blow out, although I am not 100% sure if it's real or part of the game. Considering Chima is now HOH, Russell better be playing this correctly or he's in deep shit.. unless Jeff chooses to save him. Still, Russell feels like he has allegiances to both Jessie AND Jeff and I'm pretty sure that'll screw him in the end.

YAY! Only another week and a half till Project Runway starts.. Perhaps this will keep you busy until then.

I had to wait for Sue to get back from vacation, so I was a little behind, but we FINALLY watched the last two episodes of True Blood. It's been a great season so far, but these last two episodes were INSANE... Lots of action and great story lines, which thankfully, aren't exactly like the books they're based on. In other True Blood news, Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer are making it official (in real life). They're engaged and she's showing off a VERY nice rock.

Since this is my blog, I post my favorite eye candy. Something for everyone.. You're welcome..

Apparently stature is not what's "big" about Big Poppa.....

I took a kickboxing class at my old gym on Wednesday. Half way through I felt like I had worked hard enough that it could have been over and it would have been well worth the money! It was crazy! Great workout, don't get me wrong. I was sweating more than I do when I run, if you can believe that! I was quite shocked that I didn't feel too terrible (sore) the next day or even the day after, but as I was running this morning the backs of my arms were killing me! Yes, Tara, I would do it again, painful as it was. I never want to hear the word "flurry" when it doesn't involve ice cream. That's just mean and wrong.

I'd write more, but I need a shower and I need to enjoy this gorgeous day. How? I have no idea, since I already did my outdoor duties by running this morning.. Perhaps I'll just observe.. Enjoy your weekend!

I haven't forgotten about you, just thrown you by the wayside. The Firemen's Softball Tournament was in town this weekend, which basically means I'm gonna get some sun and drink all day. And I did... which made me overtired and cranky on Sunday, which makes me want to go to bed REAL soon on Monday..

Just a few things to touch on...

The finale of So You Think You Can Dance is this week, and the final four are Brandon, Evan, Kayla and Janine. I'm completely content with whoever wins, as Melissa and Ade (who we all know were no faves of mine for no good reason) were booted last week. I really enjoyed watching some of the best dances from last season this past week and was SHOCKED that Evan made it through. Don't get me wrong.. I love him but I never expected him to make it this far.

Casey got the boot on Big Brother, thanks to Jessie and Casey made it abundantly clear how he feels about him. In an interesting turn, Russell won the HOH after cutting a deal with Jeff (the only remaining player in an endurance game) to keep Jeff and Jordan safe. Surprisingly enough in the game, he stuck to the plan and put up Lydia (who dropped early and is beginning to annoy me with her kiss ass-iness) and Ronnie FINALLY is up on the block for talking smack about Russell behind his back. I sure hope it works out and Ronnie finally goes. I'm sick of his freaky ass diary room sessions.

Have I discussed my new Palm Pre!? I got it last week and while I still don't have a clue how to use it (apparently Sprint doesn't feel they need to GIVE you the 350 page manual, as I had to find it online myself) I really love it. The streaming texting alone was enough to sell me and I'm getting used to the touch screen.

Thank goodness not ALL the rumors are true!

Rush out and buy Kathy Griffin's book "Official Book Club Selection!"

The O's unloaded (and when I say unloaded I don't mean he was burden) George Sherril just prior to the trade deadline for a third baseman and a pitcher. What's interesting about that is that O's current third baseman, Melvin Mora, hasn't had some very nice things to say about the organization. A closed door meeting today may have settled any issues.. for now..

You have to hate it when you finally get into a blockbuster film and no one tells you that you've been recast. I kind of like her as Victoria.. She was pretty bad-ass so I'm curious to see Bryce Dallas Howard instead.

So... a woman at work retired and as we're all eating lunch together, her severely hot son walked in... in his Army uniform. You seriously should have seen the jaws drop and the heads turn. It was by far the most giggly afternoon our office has ever seen. We're a little lacking in the eye candy department at work, if you haven't noticed.

My friend Danny and I went to see Rent at Proctor's on Thursday night. It was a great show, with original cast members Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal performing. I thought it was amazing, but I also felt like Adam Pascal was phoning it in in the beginning. He just didn't seem real enthused to be there (and I guess I wouldn't if I'd only been able to succeed by playing the same role for 15 years), while Anthony Rapp consistently threw himself into his role. Did it make a difference? No! It was a phenomenal show with an extremely talented cast, who made me tear up even though I knew full well what was coming.

Yet another invention I feel NO ONE can live without.

Don't know how the softball season is gonna end. TONS of rainouts and right now our field in Nassau is under water. Apparently we're playing our games in New Lebanon this week to give the field some time to dry out. I wouldn't be heartbroken if we couldn't have the tournament over birthday weekend, I'll tell you that much! And yes.. birthday weekend is less than two weeks away. Plan accordingly!
