The great state of New York
Thank God tomorrow is payday because I need to go grocery shopping like you wouldn’t believe. This is my list so far: eggs, cheese, English muffins, soda, granola bars, chips/100 calorie packs, wraps, shredded cheese, yogurt, meat (chicken/turkey), dish detergent, milk, toothpaste, paper towels, laundry detergent, sides (rice, etc.), pantyhose, knee-hi’s, meals, Canadian bacon, pizza, pasta and butter. You probably didn’t really need all that information but I think what a person has in their shopping cart says a lot about them. For example: my list says that I can’t cook worth a damn, but I’m sure as hell gonna try. I really do need to. It does save money and that (and actually working out at the gym more than once a week) is more than likely going to be my New Year’s resolution… Then again, I’m starting it before New Year’s so I guess it’s not really a resolution. I decided to do balance transfers of all my credit cards to one so I only have one payment to make and hopefully I can make it a good sized payment. Then my goal is to NOT use my credit cards unless it’s really necessary. Unfortunately, cute new shoes aren’t a necessary evil (after January 1). If I can’t afford I, I don’t need it. I guess it’s this whole turning 30 and growing up thing.
I got J. his Christmas present last night (and no, not the t-shirts I alluded to yesterday although how f’n funny would those be?). I got him a Kodak digital camera and photo printer bundle. I saw it online for less money, but I figured by the time I paid shipping and handling I might as well just get it here so if he doesn’t like it, he can take it back. I told him to at least pretend he likes it, although he’s not really good at that! I’m sure he’ll like it, it’s just a matter of whether he’ll get a lot of use out of it. That’s all I’m worried about. But that means my Christmas shopping is basically done. My sister and I split my mom’s gift but then my sister decided to get her something extra, so now I feel like I need to also. She’s a pain in my ass (my sister, that is). So I’m kinda done… if I can find something worth getting, I’ll get it. If not, she’ll have to deal with the lovely gift we got her!
The work day is almost over and I’ll be on my way to Sue’s house before dancing. Gotta love it.. Pete will cook me dinner and Sue and I get to have girl time… and a beer before dance class. One night I showed up there reeking of weed and beer.. (the boys were smoking at the house - pot does nothing for me) There’s seven of us total.. they’re probably just happy we show up! Anyway, I managed to get a post in today.. yay me! Tomorrow is payday Friday… life is good. Have a great night.. Don’t forget to watch The Office, and if you want some cheap thrills and to irritate your friends, go to this site (Thanks Toine).
Finally - Britney kept her legs closed for about 12 hours and Eva Longoria got engaged to San Antonio Spurs player Tony Parker.. Guess they got through that "rough patch" ok! Congrats!

The search is over
Underwear
Hump Day
I've had work to do today. Yay me. Granted one of those tasks is to find a map of New York State that has all the counties listed on it. Yep.. I went BACK to college for this. Because of my lack of motivation, I'm heading out early to go shopping with my mother. I figured it's better to leave early than not show up at all, am I right? I have a "doctor's appointment." This way, if and when I do get sick (as the flu is going around) it won't look quite as sketchy. Oh yes.. I thought this through like you wouldn't believe.
Shit.. I forgot I was posting.. lol.. Not because I was working.. just answering emails. So I'm a slacker, sue me. Over the weekend J. and I decided we were going to cook more, and eat out less. Ok.. well, he's going to cook more and I'm going to watch and try to absorb by osmosis. So, last night I made some potato soup (before you get excited, it was from a mix) and he made lemon pepper chicken. I admit, I didn't realize it would be so easy and taste so good, so I guess the next time I go to the store I should buy some chicken because we have plenty of spices to use on it, thanks to Tre. We didn't do much else but watch the Charlie Brown Christmas Special and Law & Order. Sometimes it's pathetic how boring we are. But it's the middle of the week so I don't know what you expect!
I should finish some stuff up before I leave for the day but I hope you all have a wonderful hump day and tomorrow we'll be closer to the end of the week... YAY!

Things you ought to know
2. The Orioles seem to be signing a whole flock of relief pitchers (at least that's what the rumor mills say). That's nice, but give me a real good starting pitcher in the mix too and then we'll talk.
3. Heroes is the best show of the season. If you haven't seen it yet, the Sci Fi Channel is running a marathon of the shows and you NEED to watch it. Last night's episode was great! It showed what happened six months ago when the heroes were just starting to realize their powers. It answered some questions and set us up for the "fall finale" next week in which "a hero will fall." A gun was shown, but it didn't say if they would die... just fall. I love television advertising.
Question for my minions
Great news - Bravo has renewed Kathy Griffin's "My Life on the D-List" for a season containing six hour long episodes. God, I love her! I'm sure it'll be an entertaining season considering she's single again. Bravo has promised more with her, her assistant Jessica (who apparently had a recent dabbling in lesbianism, according to the comedy show I went to a few months back) and her insanely (but not purposefully) hysterical parents. I'm anxiously looking forward to that and my other guilty pleasure "The Real Housewives of Orange County." Have I mentioned how much I love Bravo? I mean seriously.. they will put anything on TV and I adore them for it!
In slightly sad news, Hilary Duff and Joel (or Benji.. whichever) Madden broke up recently. I always found their relationship slightly skeevy with the 8 year age difference, but it seemed to work. What can I say? Even at my advanced age I hold a soft spot in my heart for Hilary. I mean, it's not like my friend Lynn and I spent a saturday afternoon watching "The Lizzie McGuire Movie" or anything like that..... Not at the advanced age of 27 or so... No, that would never happen!

In Birthday News
In other news, Pam Anderson and Kid Rock EACH filed for divorce this morning... citing irreconcilable differences (the biggest cop out California law has to offer) and different dates of separation. Guess GQ should take back calling them the "Newlyweds of the Year." 4 weddings and not even four months of marital bliss? Yet another white trash couple I really thought would make it.
So what if it's the offseason?
The above listed men are all the nominees for the 2007 induction in the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. No matter what I will be there with bells on because I can’t imagine Cal not getting in on his first try! LOTS of first-timers that might have had a shot, had they not come in the same year as Cal and Tony Gwynn. You have to feel bad for the guys whose names have been on the ballot for quite some time and I would love for this to be the year Don Mattingly gets some love…. but I don’t see it happening. Sorry Donny Baseball.. maybe next year! And Paul O’Neill can sit his whiny ass down too.. this is so NOT your year. I’d say I was sorry to the Yankee fans but I’m not. I mean, how often is an event like this going to happen to an Orioles fan!? No offense, but I’m not going to hold my hand on my ass waiting for Harold Baines to get into the hall, know what I’m saying? We don’t have much coming up so I will start living this now and let it get me through all of 2007! That said, there are a couple of former O’s on the list, but only one that really matters and that is my man Cal.
Speaking of baseball, it seems the O’s have come to terms (pending a physical) with Danys Baez on a three year deal worth 19 million dollars. Baez is a 29 year old reliever who spent last season with the Braves and Dodgers. He did pretty well with Tampa Bay in 2005, earning a spot on the All Star team, so maybe all he needs is the AL East to thrive. God, let’s hope so! Baez is pretty easy on the eyes too.. Hell, if we can't have a good team we can at least have a good looking team, right!? Perhaps that'll be my new venture - a Baltimore Orioles calendar.. topless of course.
If you find a way to put me out of my misery
So yeah.. it's "Cyber Monday." OOOOOOhhhh.. scary! I might have decided what I'm getting for J. for Christmas (finally). He hasn't been really good at telling me what he wants and I kind of don't want him to because I'd like there to be a slight element of surprise. Anyway, he has a digital camera but it's bulky and there's no memory card. I guess the pictures just stay on the camera until you get rid of them. Weird, but whatever. So, I found a Kodak digital camera with a docking station that's also a photo printer, which would work out really well considering he doesn't have his own computer. I'm going to give it about another week or so of thinking before I order it... ya know, see if he alludes to something or gives me hints on anything else. I feel bad because I'm not being really good at handing out the hints either. I asked my parents for a new Ipod and other than that, I don't really need anything. I need clothes, but I can't ask him to buy me clothes and a gift certificate is kind of impersonal when it comes to that kind of thing. I did ask him for a hot personal trainer but he didn't seem too gung ho over that idea. I told my sister that if he asks he should get me something I like, that I can't afford.. like a pedicure or massage or something. I'd get a pedicure every god damn week if I could afford to! We'll see how he does. My sister might have something up her sleeve, ya never know. If not, I'm sure whatever he does will be fine. I mean.. who doesn't like getting presents!?
Not much else to report on this end.. I was digging the whole Britney comeback but ever since she's hooked up with Paris Hilton she's hooched herself to the brink. I really think that bitch needs an intervention! Get that girl on the A & E channel, STAT!
Speaking of stat, I watched Thursday's "SUPER-SIZED" episode of Grey's Anatomy the other day. Right now, Christina and Burke are splits-ville and I'm curious to see where their relationship (and Burke's career) are going. And am I the only one that thinks George is being a bit of a douche bag? I mean.. it's very stressful what he's going through but that's when you might want to think about letting bygones be bygones (cause you WERE on a break when she banged McSteamy) and let people take care of you and make sure you're ok. One last thing.. did you not die when Callie almost beat the shit out of Meredith!? Granted, Callie was wrong and ended up not doing it, but I love that she never apologized for it and she would have snapped Meredith like a twig. She's my favorite new addition to the show. Ooh.. one more thing.. how soon do you think it'll be before Karev gets Addison into the sack? She was making all sorts of googly eyes at him. Hell, she might as well bang him too, as she's banged every other hot white guy on the staff.. Hee hee.. I said staff. Ok.. I'm done thinking about hot doctors and juvenile plays on words. Time for lunch.. have a good rest of your afternoon!

We lost him
Thanksgiving went really well. It was really loud, and full of competitions (darts, ping-pong and pool) but it was fun. Food was good, that's for sure. My Aunt Colleen (my great-aunt really) asked if J. was Amish, thanks to his too large for his face goatee. It did lighten the mood a bit. That and the fact that everyone in the family has taken to calling him Curtis, instead of his real name. At least this way they won't slip and call him Jason!
The day after Thanksgiving I did nothing but watch an America's Next Top Model marathon of Season one and went to bowling. I bowled pretty well and won some money but decided to stay home that night to avoid spending any of it. Instead, I cleared out the DVR so all that's left are back episodes of Heroes for Tre to watch.
Saturday I had lunch with my friend Crystal from college and her 6 week old son, Ben. He's an absolute cutie and was very good. He barely made a peep the whole time we were at lunch. It was niced to catch up with her and we decided that YES, we are going to Ireland. Now I just need to get the time off from work, which could be interesting considering it's a school break and I know they don't want to give it to me. At least it gives me motivation to stay at this job.. just long enough to take my trip! Am I really actively looking for something else? No... but if an opportunity comes along I won't pooh-pooh it like I did the last one. Anyway, I spent the night catching up on my Netflix watching.. FINALLY! I watched "The Upside of Anger" which was pretty good. It was the first thing I taped when I got my Tivo set up earlier this year, but I never got to watch it. After that I watched Failure to Launch with Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew McConaughey. It wasn't great, but it was a slightly entertaining way to spend an hour and a half. To round out my night I watched Harold and Kumar go to White Castle. I had never seen it and I have to admit, it was pretty funny. Actually, I find it even funnier now that I know Neil Patrick Harris is gay.
Jason (the knocker upper) made me a copy of the new Chris Daughtry cd. I"m a little upset that I never heard anything about it coming out. I mean, you would think there'd be a little more publicity reagarding its release but there wasn't. I will more than likely still buy the CD (eventually) because I sure do want to see the cover art!!! But anyway, it's actually a pretty good disc. Granted, I'd listen to (and watch) that man sing the phone book so maybe I'm not hte best judge.
I hate to disappoint, but I really didn't take that many pictures from the party or Thanksgiving so I'm afraid there isn't much to show. However, the party was a success and we had a great time. Beer pong was played and lots of alcohol was consumed: Both benchmarks of a great party!
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and try not to remember that tomorrow is the start of another work week.

Finalist?
Not what I expected...
Now I’m getting harassed by the entire office because the HB has a distribution going out today and apparently, I could be one of the people that has to stay. FUCK THAT. Seriously… first of all, no one is going to look at this distribution until Monday so why rush everyone around and force them to stay late in order to get it out? Secondly, I already did what I have to do and the way I feel about it is that if no one brings me any work before 3:00, why should I have to ask around to see if I need to stay? If you didn’t need me in the last hour and a half, why would you need me after that? I really can’t wait to crack open that vodka bottle tonight. For a short week it’s sure been full of a pile of shit.
My plan after work is to run to the mall and try to exchange a dress I bought about a month ago. I got this really pretty lace cocktail dress, mainly because it was on sale for $24 when originally it was $69.00. Well, it was a size 14 and didn’t exactly fit, but I got it anyway (you know, the old “I’ll lose weight and fit into it deal”). Well, when I went to bring back the three dresses I ordered that didn’t fit, I found a size 16 in the same dress. So, I’m going back to see if it’s still there and hopefully (without a receipt) they’ll allow me to exchange it. I do have the tags still on the dress and I have my Macy’s credit card statement so I hope that’s enough. If not, I guess I’ll spend some time looking at dresses at Macy’s instead of exchanging one.
That’s all I’ve got. Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving and I’ll catch ya up over the weekend. All hail Tryptophan!!!!!

Puppet Up!
Last night I was perusing the channels after 11 pm (a rarity for me) and I came upon TBS. Normally they don't have too much on, but there were puppets, so I stopped. Come to find out, it was the premiere of Jim Henson's "Puppet Up" an uncensored improvisational comedy show with puppets. I wasn't able to stay awake to see all of it, but what I did see was pretty funny. I'm a big fan of the musical "Avenue Q," and this is in the same vein. Definitely stop and watch it if you catch it on TV. Right now I think the only channel it's on is TBS, but I'm not sure when it airs. If all else fails, check back next Monday at 11 and see what you find!
Have I mentioned that I hate my job?
Because my day was very “Monday,” I decided to skip the gym in favor of getting some stuff done at home. I actually picked up some of J.’s laundry on my way home. His washer/dryer are pretty slow and he’s been working a lot so I’m pretty sure he’s on his last pair of boxers. Therefore, I told him I’d do some of his laundry for him. I got two pretty good sized loads done so he should be happy. Anyway, when I got home I made some mac and cheese, unloaded the dishwasher and opened my mail. I ended up getting my sister’s Christmas present in the mail, along with the three dresses I’d ordered from Macy’s for my upcoming Christmas party. I subsequently took all three dresses back to Macy’s today. I don’t think the people in my office need to see that much of my boobs. After I got everything done I settled in on the love seat and put in Secretary, starring Maggie Gyllenhaal and James Spader. Interesting movie. I’m not quite sure how I feel about it. I thought it showed the dynamic of such a relationship in a different way and both are insanely good actors. I think I like Maggie Gyllenhaal. I should see more movies she’s in. Anyway, it was worth seeing and if you’re into S & M, this is definitely the film for you! I was going to watch the movie straight through and watch Heroes later, but I had to find out if they Save the Cheerleader (and Save the World - they did... so far)! God, I love that show. It confuses the hell out of me sometimes, but that’s what intrigues me. Next week they’ll go back six months in time so we can see why some things have happened the way they have.
For my Project Runway pals, Tim Gunn is not yet signed on for season four of the insanely popular show. Considering he is one of the key reasons the show is so popular, I’m sure that’s just an oversight. It seems they can’t start shooting at Parsons until the semester is over because Tim is too busy and there’s really not that much room for the contestants in the school. If Tim is not involved I will watch, but I won’t like it. The boys at Project Rungay are now going through the first season of the show, which I didn’t start watching until I got sucked into a marathon near the end. I really need to get the first season. I wonder if I can Netflix that. I never thought of that! Time to do some research!!!
Tomorrow I’ll only be in for a half dayish. We have an “excursion” to go on from noon until two and then we get to leave at 3. Apparently we are supposed to do something in the summer as an office, but it didn’t happen. They’re not telling us what we’re doing but we can’t dress casual. That ruins it for me. I LOVE wearing jeans to work! Anyway, God knows we’re eating somewhere cause we NEVER go without eating around this place, but other than that, I have no idea. After I leave I have to make a cake for our friend, whose birthday is on Wednesday. Tre and I are having people over Wednesday night as we’ve realized we’ve hit that threshold where we’re too old to go out and have a great time on the night before Thanksgiving. I remember I was all psyched to go out last year and it was kind of uneventful. I’m going out and seeing kids I taught bowling to in the Pee Wee Leagues and that’s insanely disconcerting. I’d just as soon stay in with my friends. Hell, now I can play darts and pool at home so why leave!?
Oh yeah.. J. is coming to Thanksgiving dinner. That could be interesting. I don’t know what I’ve said about him, but he’s pretty blunt and says exactly what he thinks. My Aunt Colleen (my grandmother's sister) will be at dinner and I’m curious to see how that dynamic works. She's a handful. I’m pretty sure my mom doesn’t like him so I only hope he’s on his best behavior. Not that my mother has said she doesn’t like him, nor has he done anything to get her not to like him, but it’s a mother thing. My ex moved back into town (engineer, great guy, good money maker) right around the time J. and I got together and I think she thought we’d rekindle our relationship and all would be well. Unfortunately, I don’t have those feelings for him anymore (call me bitter, but not asking me to move down south with him put a bad taste in my mouth). We’re still friends, but that’s it. In all honesty, I haven’t seen him since he got back here, which means I haven’t seen him in a little over four years. Crazy, huh? Anyway, that’s the story and I just hope everything goes smoothly and J. doesn’t make another “bowling isn’t a sport” comment in front of my family. Baby steps.
Hopefully I’ll be able to post tomorrow, but if not, have a great Thanksgiving and I should have some pictures and stories to post over the weekend.
I know I've been neglectful, but
Friday - BUSY day at work. I spent the entire day drafting documents (this will come back to haunt me) and got done right at 5:30, giving me barely enough time to go home, eat and change for bowling. I actually bowled really well for the first time this year, breaking the 600 barrier that I’ve always had a mental block about. This was the only week where no money was involved so apparently I just have a complex about bowling for cash. Anyway, after that I went to the grocery store (yep, I’m a loser) and came home having no intentions of doing anything but catching up on my Netflix (as I’ve been talking about for WEEKS). Change in plans… I went to J.’s to drink with him and his buddy. Instead we drank, watched The Omen and J. passed out 10 minutes into the movie. It wasn’t a bad flick.. I think I only snuck in a nap right at the very end!
Saturday - Got up early to make macaroni and cheese for my friend’s mother’s 60th birthday party. It was an insanely busy day but the party was a good time. One of her friends got her a ZingaGram, which everyone found funny but the birthday girl! lol.. It was Sadie the Bag Lady and I admit, I was taken aback when she first walked through the door, but it was pretty entertaining and a good way to end the party. Really didn’t do anything that night. J. came over and we went to dinner. When we came home my sister, Danny and Joey decided it was time to play darts so we shot a couple of games (I won one) and then they went to see Saw III. Their initial idea was The Santa Clause III, but Danny wasn’t having it. So, J. and I watched Dateline. Well, I watched Dateline… he passed out (are you seeing a trend?). Earlier, Dateline had done another “To Catch A Predator” segment, which we all watched in awe. After that they had a special on a hostage situation from 2003 at Case Western Reserve University. I found it pretty interesting. I have this fascination with the hostage crisis at the Munich Olympics so I always find these types of situations really intriguing.
Sunday - I went to the craft fair at Hudson Valley Community College. Craft fairs are NOT my thing. I don’t have that “country” taste at all, but my mom offered me free lunch and a trip to Target so I figured I’d suck it up and go. I didn’t have a terrible time, as I’d expected. I mean, the crafts didn’t interest me, but I could have spent all day sampling the dips. They were GREAT! My mom actually bought me two bags of potato soup (which is my favorite). I got one but then found another that was 10 times better, so she got me both. That’s what moms are for! Anyway, when we got home it was time to put up the Christmas decorations. Normally my sister is a staunch, day after Thanksgiving kind of gal. But, we’re having people over for the holiday and prior so she wanted everything done so people could see them. The lights aren’t up yet, but the tree and all the other decorations are. The house actually looks quite nice. It’s pretty festive! Anyway, that night J. came over and bought three movies: Nacho Libre, Harold and Kumar go to White Castle and The Boondock Saints. I picked the shortest one because I was kind of tired, and that was Nacho Libre. Run, don’t walk, away from this movie! I LOVE Jack Black but this movie was terrible! J. fell asleep and when it was over could not believe that I thought it was that bad. It was kind of like a car accident - you just couldn’t turn away from it.
Well, that was the weekend - I’m pretty bored here today so unless I get swamped, more to come later.

I know, I'm on a roll
Does anyone besides me not care about the TomKat wedding? I guess I'm bitter about how he's brought down my little Joey Potter. I long for the good old days: A gay prom date, Pacey-Dawson catfights and sleeping through finals with Oliver Hudson. I never ONCE asked for over the top PDA and an illegitimate child! What have you done, Tom Cruise? I mean, really? Who thought both my Dawson's Creek girls were spreading their legs before marriage!? Ok, well you expected it from Michelle Williams, but not good, Catholic Katie!!!!
I do want to see the dress though. Does that make me a bad person?
Speaking of knocking up - Jamie Pressly (Joy on My Name is Earl) announced her pregnancy on the Jay Leno show. She got engaged a few weeks ago and is apparently 4 months along. God, I hope they write that into the show cause I can only imagine how much funnier and ornery Joy would be pregnant!
To the Victor, go the spoils
I had to flip back and forth between DWTS and America’s Next Top Model because it’s getting down to the wire and the twins are still there. I’m anxious to see who has to cut the cord first. Anyway, I didn’t get to see the challenge but I guess it had something to do with acting, because apparently models need to be able to act these days… Caridee won the challenge (have I mentioned how much I like her) and apparently also revealed she tried to kill herself once. Say it ain’t so, Caridee!!!! Anyway, Tyra then whisked our model wannabees off to Spain where they got to hang with male models.. Hard work huh? Apparently so for Jaeda, whose guy told her he doesn’t really like black women… or maybe just Jaeda. I don’t know. I didn’t see the whole episode. Anyway, the next day they had to shoot a commercial speaking Catalan. Do I know what it is? No, but at least I wasn’t trying to speak it. God, did they crash and burn! Melrose did really, really well but I adore how every week Nigel complains that she looks old. Anyway, it was hard to decide who did the most awful so it got down between Caridee and Jaeda. FINALLY, Jaeda and her non-haircut-liking ass were sent home. I can’t say I’ll miss her. I almost like everyone that’s left at this point and hope everyone steps it up and makes it a game!
On to baseball news: The O’s have acquired Jamie Walker from the Detroit Tigers in a three year deal for 11.5 million dollars. He’s a left-handed reliever and God knows we need relief! This could turn into a really good acquisition for the O’s and hopefully one that will bring some more pitching in. I’m pretty impressed that they’re making free agent deals and can’t wait to see what happens once the winter meetings. I’ve heard rumblings of talks with Carlos Lee which would definitely fill a hole.
It must be Thursday
I've done roughly 18 minutes of billable work today (only because I made it last) and I have at least one more computer training course (but there's pizza involved.. yay) so I'll do my best to get back to the reality TV and Oriole news in a few hours.
Didn't see that one coming....
But anyway, the elimination challenge consisted of the chefs pairing off. They picked their own partners so they have no one to blame but themselves. As much as I hate Marcel sometimes I really liked his prom analogy about being paired with Frank. Basically he said it’s like getting asked by someone when you’re kind of holding out for something better to come along, but you don’t want to be dateless so you say yes. They were at Social Restaurant and had to cook a lunch for 60 people, hosted by Jennifer Coolidge (for you Neanderthals, that’s Stiffler’s mom). Anyway, each group had to cook a course but all hell broke loose in the kitchen and no one was talking to anyone else about what they were making so the meal didn’t necessarily flow as the judges had hoped... or at all for that matter. The chefs could only use the leftovers from last night’s dinner and whatever was in the pantry, fridge, etc. I guess there were more things they could have used and didn’t, so the judges weren’t real pleased about that! Anyway, the top 2 were (believe it or not) Michael and Ilan, and Sam and Cliff. Michael and Ilan ended up winning the challenge and Ilan was the big winner and is able to go to Miami and work some food and wine thing. Yay Ilan! The bottom three were Josie and Marisa, Carlos and Elia (who had one dish that never made it out under the time constraints), and Betty and Mia. Ooh.. I almost forgot about that. Mia is a two faced bitch! I really wanted her to go because she threw Betty in last week, but was all up her ass when she needed a partner this week.. arms around each other and everything! Marisa even said something during one of her interviews about it and while we know I hate her, I agreed with her 100%. But as I said, Josie and Marisa graciously went home. I will miss them. They were damn fine TV and I hope someone besides Marcel steps up the snark.
Time for training.. more later I promise!!!

I'm being a bit of a slacker
Last night was pretty boring... laundry, pictures (obviously) and the gym. Yep, it didn't fall down when I walked in which I figure is a good sign. I'm not REAL sore today, but I didn't completely push myself either. I have a habit of getting all gung ho about the gym, and getting sick days later so I'm easing myself back in. 28 minutes on the elliptical and 20 on the treadmill was plenty for the first day. I sure do miss my Ipod though.. I borrowed my sister's mp3 player, but it just wasn't the same. And it ran through its charge on me mere minutes after I got on the treadmill. Maybe I shouldn't be around electrical appliances. Tonight - The Departed!!! I WILL post about it tomorrow...

Girl's Weekend Pictures
Girl's Weekend
Saturday morning Jess and Ryan made us what I can only describe as the biggest and best breakfast ever! I’m not sure if it’s a Mass. or a Vermont thing, but along with the eggs, bacon and sausage, there were mashed potatoes. I don’t know about you, but I LOVE mashed potatoes and to have them at breakfast just made the whole day bright. We finally got ready to leave for Boston (a tad later than anticipated) and ended up taking a side trip to a nearby house in Newburyport, MA where Dan (yet another old boy, CSC rugby player who’s dating Amy) was painting the house. It wasn’t just a house. It was a mansion that was built in 1792. There were actually etchings on the windows, one of which said “today is the day they abolished slavery.” It was absolutely amazing and the house was gorgeous! Dan took us up on the roof and I got some really great pictures, as it was a beautiful day. The weather couldn’t have been much nicer and we took the T to Fanieul Hall. We really didn’t do all that much but drink, eat and talk about sex. Seriously, I’m not sure I ever want to talk about sex again. I know we gave the guy behind us at dinner an earful, that’s for sure! Let me put it to you this way: I don’t know if there’s ever been a time when all three of us have been in some semblance of a relationship at the same time, so we took advantage. That, and Ryan works for Comcast so they get free cable (porn), including the Playboy Channel. This past weekend was definitely a learning experience. To cap off the night we went to the local Pizzeria Uno’s for $2.50 Killian’s drafts which was such a nice change from the $4.50 pints we had been drinking (if not more). Every time I go somewhere I realize how much cheaper it is to live where I do. I mean, it’s $9.75 to get into the movies in Albany. That’s f’n insane! I can go to the Crandell in Chatham, get popcorn and soda and still not spend that much! I mean, we got three lemon drop shots and when we got the bill it was over $17.00!!! That’s absolutely crazy. So, thank you Pizzeria Uno’s for being the cheap end of our trip. We went back to Amy’s and Jess made some kick ass popcorn while we watched Pants Off/Dance Off. Interesting show.. Next up was some more porn, but I called it a night. I guess porn just isn’t my thing.
The next morning we got up and went to breakfast at this cute little lesbian hippie restaurant. We had a great breakfast (minus a bit of an outburst from the three people who GAVE us their table, then walked out, middle fingers in the air because they didn’t get a bigger table quick enough) and then Ryan picked Jess and I up for the trip back to Salisbury, looking a little rough. I left their place around 1:45, all ready for my three hour drive, but it took me a little over four hours thanks to the heavy rains and people’s lack of ability to drive on a highway. It was SUCH slow going! J. and I were supposed to go see The Departed (I know, broken record) but I still hadn’t showered and didn’t really feel like going out. We’re going to see it tomorrow, no matter what!!! Instead we watched Team America: World Police. Well, I watched most of it. I know I fell asleep for part of it so I should probably watch it again. It was pretty funny, although I’m not sure it’s really my sense of humor. Kind of like this whole “Borat” phenomenon. I have no interest in seeing it, but I’m very interested in what the whole world is finding funny about it. I know it’s a movie J. wants to see so maybe I’ll suck it up (AFTER we finally see The Departed) and find out what all the fuss is about.
Anyway, that’s about all I can say about the weekend. I had an awesome time with the girls and even learned a little something along the way. I’ll try to post some pictures later on tonight.
Baseball blog
The other day I inquired as to the whereabouts of my second Oriole love (only after Cal Ripken), Brady Anderson. I googled him today but could only find older stuff. I did however, find this picture that, if I recall correctly, hung on my dorm room wall for quite some time. Screw you Elle Macpherson and Heidi Klum. Brady Anderson is "The Body."
The O's acquired Jaret Wright from the Yankees for Chris Britton and some cash. I'm still not sure how I feel about it. I'm pretty sure Wright didn't always bring his "A" game last year, so hopefully after a little work with Leo Mazzone he can bring back the prowess he displayed last time the two worked together in Atlanta. I'm kind of excited about the trade, although I'm not sure the O's are sticking to the big picture. Good hitting outfielder.. bullpen.. etc. I just hope Wright is as gracious on Photo Day as Chris Britton was last year. Nice guy..
This day could not go by any slower so I'll do my best to post about the weekend a little later. I'm afraid the pictures will have to wait until later, as I didn't have time to put them on my computer yet. I hope to have time later tonight but tonight is the first night I'll be going to the gym in about seven months so really all I'm hoping is that it doesn't crash down the minute I pull into the parking lot. Ya know, kind of like church.

What I SHOULD be doing
Update: Lunch wasn't rice... but pasta with some unidentifiable white sauce.. NOT alfredo. I'm proud of and stand by my decision.
The picture you see is of my friend Jess, reenacting a scene from my other friend, Amy's trip to see Jess and her boyfriend in Salisbury, Mass (She tripped over a lobster trap on the beach near Jess and Ryan's place - granted, it was dark and I have a feeling she was paying more attention to a certain someone rather than the lobster trap in front of her). I'm going to head over there right after work and meet up with both Jess and Amy. We plan on kicking back a little tonight and having a good time and then heading down to Amy's place in Boston on Saturday. It looks like it'll be a little cloudy but in general, the weather should hold out. I haven't been to Boston since the last time I went to see Amy (YEARS ago - Sorry Aim) so I have a feeling we'll be doing quite a bit of walking around and maybe even stopping into a few bars.. Guess I won't wear my O's shirt.. I get enough ridicule living in New York! So, there'll more than likely be pictures aplenty. As you can see, Jess isn't afraid of a camera!
Last night I skipped dance (I know, I'm a slacker) so I could pack for the trip. I'm a bit of an overpacker and surprisingly I got everything I thought I'd need into my one overnight bag. I'm pretty impressed with myself and can't wait to find out what i accidentally left at home. J. came down and we went to the Moosehead with Jen and Matt for wings. He got to hear some entertaining stories and I got to have wings and french fries smothered in cheese and gravy. It'll probably be the last time I have those in a while since I'm attempting to go back to the gym on Monday and be good about what i'm eating. Basically.. NOT eat out and eat crap every day. Anyway, I meant to go into work early today so I could leave even earlier, but it's kind of hard to get out of your bed when there's a cute, warm boy already in it, am I right? Thank god he normally goes to work hours before I do! So, here I am, counting down the minutes until 4:30. Well, 4:30ish.. the office manager is also headed to Boston this weekend and she's leaving at 3 so I figure I can sneak out a little closer to 4 without anyone being any the wiser. On that note, hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I'll be back with a posting and some pictures early next week!
If there is one person
When discussing pursuit of Alfonso Soriano, Gammons said (more or less) "The O's will go after him hard... but Peter Angelos always finds a reason not to sign somebody."
Perhaps I should trade out my Peters cause right now I'd rather talk to PG before PA and that means something is not right with the world.

Music and TV - these are a few of my favorite things
TV - where should I begin. The usual suspects got booted from our favorite Wednesday night reality shows. Mario and Emmit are the last men standing on Dancing with the Stars as Joey and his shiny head got the boot. We all know I don’t love anything more than a bald man, but I think those two are the most deserving. However, I did catch the “Footloose” number last night and when I wasn’t marveling at Lisa Rinna’s abs I was thinking that maybe Willa Ford should switch careers and go into ballroom dancing. She certainly has the body for it and is relatively talented. I have a feeling there have been LOTS of extra practice sessions between her and hunky Maksim, am I right? I know my mother is happy with the final two because she actually called me the other night and confessed to finding her first black man ever attractive, and that man is Emmit Smith. I think it’s just cause he’s so damn charming and has a surprising amount of rhythm. He’s paired with last year’s winner so I’m curious to see how it turns out. Congratulations and best of luck to both Mario and Emmit. I’m pretty sure I put Mario in the final two from the get go but I’ll wait until next week to pat myself on the back. In all honesty, I’m happy with whoever wins.
On to America’s Next Top Model. Apparently, no one on this show feels like they have to work for it anymore which surprises me after the untimely demise of AJ. As much as I don’t like Melrose, that bitch is working it 110%. She’s taken some pretty beautiful pictures and is ready to do whatever they ask her to win. The bottom two were Michelle and Anchal. Not really all that surprisingly, Anchal was the one to go. Whenever they do the challenges in front of the judges she seems to give up or feel silly and considering her body (which is fine to me) is bigger than the other girls, you knew it was only a matter of time before they’d kick her to curb. I can’t say I’m going to miss her whining and negative energy. I think we got through a whole episode where Jaeda didn’t complain about her hair, but next week is a new challenge! Michelle actually did win the challenge and picked three friends to go on a shopping spree with her. Little did she know, whoever grabbed the most items would win EVERYONE’S times… and the dumb bitch picked Melrose to be in on it with her. Needless to say, Melrose won and I would bet the farm that she wasn’t grateful enough to Michelle for giving her that opportunity to give her a shirt, or even a handbag in appreciation!
I’m so enthralled with Top Chef.. again, not because I like the food, but the drama is just as good as Project Runway. Last night their quickfire challenge was to make something I can’t pronounce with ingredients they could only get from a vending machine. Everyone was given $10 in quarters and told to go at it. I was actually quite amazed at some of the things they came up with, except for Michael who basically crushed up snickers and phallically placed a Cheeto on top. He was reprimanded for “not seeming to care” and I can’t say I don’t agree. Anyway, Carlos won the challenge with some loafy thing and he has immunity. The real challenge breaks them up into four teams and (lo and behold) Betty and Marcel are on the same team. God did that look staged! But anyway, they try to put aside their differences and team up with Frank. The challenge is to put together an appetizer, entrée and I think a dessert… all under 500 calories total! They are going to serve it to some kids at Camp Glucose, which I’m assuming is for overweight and/or diabetic kids. Sam thinks he has it in the bag, being diabetic himself. Anyway, they get their ingredients and must pass everything through a nutritionist. The black team makes pizza, a child’s favorite so regardless of how crappy it tastes, I’m pretty sure the kids are going to want it. I really don’t remember what the other teams made and honestly, it’s not that important. The pizza was the meal of the day and therefore, the black team won the challenge with Frank being the big winner as it was his idea. When the two teams up for elimination come out, the accusations start flying. Sam points out that “people” were carrying around olive oil (which apparently has 120 calories per squirt) and using it on the day of the challenge even though they weren’t allowed to deviate from the approved recipe. He didn’t name names, but Mia (who was not on his team) was quick to throw Betty under the bus by stating that she didn’t use Splenda in her cookies, but used sugar on game day instead. The judges were slightly floored by all the fur flying and went in to talk to all the chefs. Betty fessed up to her mistake and blamed it on a bit of miscommunication. She had some calories left over and thought it was ok to substitute. She really doesn’t seem like a brain surgeon or a vindictive bitch, so I’m going to give rhe the benefit of the doubt on this one. No one got voted off this week but the bitching went home with the chefs as they played the blame game for what seemed like HOURS. Even Josie threw down a bit, which is funny cause her team was never accused of anything! I doubt I’ll ever say this again, but I agree with Marisa in that it was pretty backhanded of Mia to throw Betty in and then not tell her she did it. I mean, it was pretty underhanded and fucked up of her to do to save herself, cause it looked like she had a pretty good shot of going home.
Ok.. the content of this post got away from me a little bit so I’m going to call it a night. I’ll give you a “coming attractions” of the weekend sometime tomorrow! Have a good one!
The final countdown
I’ve decided to skip dance class tonight because I really need to spend some time packing and hopefully I’ll be able to spend some “quality time” with J. before I go. I usually go to Sue’s house before dance and we shoot the shit and have a beer, then go to dance. She has to go to a wake tonight so she’s not going to dance. As her partner in crime, I feel it’d be wrong of me to go without her. I say I’m not going to dance, but I will probably feel bad and go regardless. But if I don’t, you can bet I’ll be watching The Office at it’s regular time. Although I really shouldn’t as I have yet to watch last week’s episode. Since I wasn’t around this past weekend I didn’t have my usual chance to catch up on what I’ve DVR’d. I’ve posted a picture of John Krasinski in homage to it being Thursday and all. This is from Mean Magazine, which has quite a few pictures of John, not to mention a cover story on Tenacious D. What more could a girl ask for?
My nightly TV recaps will be posted later, if I can get around to it. I do NOT have tomorrow off so I'll be here, avoiding work by posting a blog. Life is good.

Claim to fame
Seriously, what's happened to him? He of the beautiful sideburns and even more beautiful body... I love that this girl has really done nothing but appear in a shitty movie and date Brady Anderson. Way to go Ingrid! But really.. does anyone know what's happened to Brady? Because I'm more than willing to give up my Cal fantasy for a Brady reality. Think about it.
Oh yeah.. congrats on the wedding. Hope it ends better than his last!
Tough time getting over the hump
Last night I went to trivia night at Hooters. Yep... Hooters. I'm not a real feminist so I don't have a problem with Hooters. If you want to put your ta-ta's out there for men to ogle to make some money, so be it. I wish I had the body to be able to make money off my ta's. Hell, if I did I'd probably never wear clothes. Anyway, a few weeks ago J. had asked if I'd want to go because it's trivia and beer (two of my favorite things!). Last night we decided to do it mainly because he's on vacation this week and he could drink, which is a rarity. Know what that means? The only one of the group that had to work got to drive. Yep, that was me. I'm beginning to think there was an ulterior motive to him asking me to go although he INSISTS it's because of my trivia prowess. Regardless, he promised me dinner and nothing beats a Hooters grilled cheese sandwich. Seriously... it's pretty damn good! So it turned out to be me, J. and three of his guy friends and let me tell you, the car ride in the rain with four guys in my car was entertaining and educational. I won't go into details but I heard words I've never heard before, used in contexts I'd never dreamed! I was pretty wary of going but I ended up being well entertained and had a good time. We hardly played the trivia because we were sharing a table with a group of people but we did get some answers in. It was general trivia and I'm more of a pop culture/movies/music type of gal. However, thanks to my sister I knew that St. Bonaventure is in New York State and I also knew that there are 30 "answers" on the Jeopardy board. It was my first time, cut me some slack! We were home around 10 and even though I told J. it was completely fine if he wanted to hang out and booze with his budddies, he came home with me and proceeded to force me to go to bed at 11. Turned the lights out and everything because ONE TIME I said that I needed 8 solid hours of sleep. Seriously, since when do men listen to what women say... if it doesn't have to do with threesomes and blow jobs? Granted, he kept talking and keeping me awake, but eventually slumber took hold and I crashed out for the rest of the night.
What a dreary day it is in this neck of the woods. If you're a fan of The Office (as we all know I am), check out this link. I promise you'll be entertained.
The O's have released their schedule for the 2007 season. That's great, but I really want to know who's actually going to be playing at Camden Yards this season, cause God knows we need a change! Hopefully we'll be keeping Miggy and he'll be able to help bring some talent into the Yard. Free agency has just begun so maybe we can pick up a prospect or two and get rid of some dead weight (who shall remain nameless).

This one is just too easy
Another one bites the dust and another blonde mommy hits the market. Gotta love Hollywood!
Finally - the weekend recap
Saturday began the day long celebration of J.’s birthday. I guess that was my fault. I’m a strong believer in birthday weekends, where as he’s more apt to not mention it at all. So, we went to lunch at Houlihan’s, mainly because I was craving some potato cheese soup. It was fabulous, might I add. However, our time management skills aren’t quite as good as we missed the matinee showing of The Departed, which I STILL haven’t seen. Our movie options weren’t all that great, even though we were at Crossgates. It’s a Cinema 18 and it was really hard to find a movie to watch. I’ll be honest, I’ve never see Da Ali G show so even with all the hype I’m not real excited about the Borat movie. I’ve heard a lot about it now that it’s opened so I might see it, but I wasn’t prepared for it Saturday afternoon. Instead we went to see Saw III. I’m not much for horror movies but I’ve seen the other two and this one was pretty good at tying things up in a nice little bow. It kind of brought the three movies together. I didn’t hate it, let’s put it that way. I think J. was pretty proud that I didn’t jump once. Granted, I closed my eyes a few times, but hopefully he was too busy watching the movie to notice that!
I think I mentioned it before, but if not, I got a hotel room at the Hampton Inn downtown for Saturday night so J. and I could both go out and have a good time as usually one of us has to drive. So, we checked into the hotel room and then went to dinner at the Bayou. Unfortunately, they had a limited menu but the food was still pretty decent. We then trekked down the street to the Palace Theater to see Lewis Black: Red, White and Screwed. It was a really good show and even the opener, John Bowman, was pretty entertaining. I was pretty happy that it wasn’t completely political humor, as I’m a little lax in my news watching. Any political references were actually ones I could understand. He performed for just over an hour and then we were off to Jillian’s, where it was fight night. So, we stood around and watched some fights on TV. It was around that time we found out that it was just gonna be the two of us because his friend that was supposed to come up, wasn’t able to. I can’t say I was all that upset as we were both pretty tired and I didn’t think I’d make it much past midnight. However, I had spent over $100 on a hotel room and we were going to drink enough that I would not have been able to drive home! We did end up staying out until about midnight and then hightailed it back to the room. The new Hampton Inn downtown is pretty nice. I LOVED the shower. I think I just like showers with seats in them. Makes leg shaving and relaxing that much easier!
The next morning we had breakfast at the East Greenbush Diner and my friend Shannon happened to sit right behind us with her mom. This all goes back to my “small world” post earlier today. I then went home to clean the house for Monday night’s jewelry party and take a shower because I was meeting J. again to have dinner with him at his sister’s house. I’ll admit it. I was scared shitless. I don’t know, his parents don’t live here so meeting his sister and brother that do live here is kind of comparable and I was stressed the fuck out about it. Come to find out, for no reason. Things went really well, I think. She’s just as sarcastic as he is so I basically treated her like I treat him. Hopefully it worked and they don’t hate me! Anyway, I had to stop and get chips and dips and such for the party but when I got home there was a party going on in my front room. My sister and father managed to put the pool table together so everyone was playing. I think my mom is a shark. Must be all those years of Grandpa owning a bar! I beat Tre, but I set Mom up like you wouldn’t believe so she could win. I guess we just really need to practice. Tre and I are still trying to figure out who taught us to hold a pool stick because we do it the same way, but it's not the right way for sure! I think the bar might be set up today and now the front room is looking like the play room we’ve always wanted. Guess it’s time to start hosting people and stop going out to save some money!
God, I think that’s just about everything. No pictures this week.. Maybe this weekend when I catch up with Jess and Amy, two of my three college roomies my senior year. I have a feeling there’ll be some incriminating shots if those two are involved!
It's a world of laughter, a world of tears
What I’m really trying to say is, WOW what a small world it can be. Case in point: On Friday, I had the following conversation with my ex, Jason (ya know, the knocker upper).
K: So, how’re things on the job front?
J: I start at Hannaford on Tuesday.
K: The new store in Valatie or the Distribution Center in Schodack?
J: Distribution Center.
K: Oh really? Which department?
J: Grocery. 9-5:30
K: That sounds great. Congrats!
J: So, you still making the mistake with that guy?
K: The one that works at the Hannaford Distribution Center? Yeah… I am.
You got it.. Jason is now going to be working in the same building as J. And I know for a fact that J. helps out in grocery quite a bit when he gets his other work done so it’s pretty much inevitable that their paths are going to cross. Here’s the rest of the conversation:
J: I don’t want to know.
K: I had no plans on telling you so that works out just fine.
J: Well, when you’re done with him, make sure you don’t let me take you out to dinner?
K: (I’ll bite) Why?
J: Because I’m going to ask you to marry me. The ring will be nice.
K: Um.. yeah.. I’m not really into hand me downs (he’s been engaged before) and oh yeah, what in the name of God would make you think I’d say yes!?
J: Well, I just have to try.
K: Don’t bother - I don’t want to be a stepmother.
J: I’ll sign away my rights.
ARE YOU SERIOUS? Granted, I think I’m a catch, but this is ridiculous. So, I told J. about the situation because I didn’t want him to find out any other way. He’s not really the jealous type at all but I explained it to him just like I explained it to you, my minions, and he didn’t take too kindly to being called “a mistake.” He then got a very evil grin on his face, which he accentuated by letting out an evil laugh and saying “yeah, I think I’ll make his life a living hell.” I don’t think he’ll say anything to Jason, but he certainly won’t be overly nice to him. Plus, if Jason has the balls or stupidity to say something to him, he’s not going to sugar coat his view on the situation. It has the potential to be very entertaining. Today is Jason’s first day and J. is on vacation till Sunday, so there’s still time to get your popcorn and your front row seat. I’m sure there’ll be more on the developing situation in the next few weeks. If not, then I underestimated both of them!
Jewelry Party
Right now I'm sitting on almost $300 worth of free stuff, along with anything under $100 as a gift for being a hostess and any four items (regardless of price) I can get for $15 each. Not a bad deal. No one booked a party, but I didn't really expect anyone to so that's ok. I have a feeling I'll have all the jewelry I need after I pick what I want anyway!
I think the funniest part of the night was that everyone kept letting this cat into the house. This is the cat that I randomly find underneath my car when I go out in the morning. He's a cute cat, and certainly not homeless if you take into account his chubbiness. However, he's not MY cat so I don't necessarily want him in my house! I think he managed to get in three or four times, but my friend Sarah (she has quite a few cats and knows how to handle them) was able to pick it up and place it outdoors every time. It was pretty entertaining and the party was a good time.
I know I still haven't recapped the weekend and I'll try to take care of that this afternoon. Now I feel like I'm hyping it up too much, but there is at least one entertaining story so I'm ok with it. Happy Election Day - get out there and vote (even if you're like me and don't have a clue what exactly you're voting for!)

A Special Day
And oh yeah... Doogie Howser is gay! Guess he really is acting with all that "ladie's man" stuff on How I Met Your Mother... Another one bites the dust.
I have a relatively busy day here but I'll try to recap my weekend for you a little later. I am not taking a lunch and getting out early so I can prepare for my jewelry party tonight so I'll do what I can. If not, there'll be one hell of a post tomorrow!

I'm trying to grow up
Today is J’s 27th birthday so Happy Birthday to him! In honor of that day we’re going to see Lewis Black at the Palace Theater on Saturday night. Then, I got a hotel room at the Hampton Inn downtown so we could go out and get hammered together. He works Sundays so Saturday nights are out and most of the time one of us has to drive, so we have yet to do the obligatory “oh god, is this person a good drunk” thing. Yep, it’s time. I guess a few of his friends will be meeting us out afterwards which should be interesting as one I’m already not a fan of on reputation alone, and I’ve really never hung out with his friends for any extended amount of time. I see a vodka night in my future. Don’t get me wrong, I’m looking forward to it, but I’m also a little curious to see how it’s going to go because I have a feeling the girl that’s going is gonna like me about as much as I think I’ll like her. I don’t want to not like her, I really don’t. I just have a gut feeling.
I found out today that no one in the United States shares my name (considering my last name wouldn’t that be insanely creepy?) and my name is the 689th most popular. If you want to find out about your name, take a trip here.
Quick Top Chef Recap
Anyway, the actual challenge is to update a childhood favorite meal. The winner will have their meal placed on the menu at TGI Fridays. I don’t know where some of these people live, but I’m not sure who had surf and turf as a childhood favorite! Perhaps that’s why it’s maker (Emily) was booted this week. Or it might have been because her food was so salty no one could eat it. She, Michael and Frank were in the bottom three. Michael made a cheesesteak sandwich with onion rings. Apparently it was too sloppy for the judges, a firehouse full of firefighters. Also, I’m pretty sure Michael was drunk for the whole thing.. If I remember correctly, he bought beer but instead of putting it back when he went over budget, he opted to put back some cheese. Yeah, and he’s STILL there. Frank made some mushroom wonderland that was just a tad too “conceptual” for the Friday’s crew. The winner of the whole shebang (much to our friend Marcel’s dismay) was Betty, whose grilled cheese sandwiches with a spiced up tomato soup were the clear cut winner. I’m with ya Betty. Nothing makes me happier than a grilled cheese sandwich and some soup (preferably potato cheese soup) on a cold, winter day. It was a teary goodbye for Emily and she also had the funniest line of the night: She was discussing how a woman told her that her ice cream didn’t have enough sugar and (after previously stating that she hates kids) she basically told the camera that maybe this woman’s fat ass didn’t need more sugar. With that attitude I sure wish they’d let her stick around.
Ya got me for one more week Top Chef… Bravo!
Halloween Pictures from Work (Take 2)
Hopefully it'll work this time. The first picture is a group shot of everyone that dressed up in our office. The second is of our receptionist Petra (she was a vampire but she accidentally threw out her fangs), me and Lacey (a punk zombie). Good times, as evidenced by the fact that I'm still shoving Halloween candy down my throat. No one came to our house Tuesday night so I have two bags of peanut butter cups and two bags of three musketeers to get through. I'll either bring it to work or hope people eat them at the jewelry party Monday night! More to come later...

Breaking News
Blogger is being a douchebag
I'm watching The Rich List. I told myself I wouldn't do it, but I did. I am so in love with it, but I really think it's only because of this crotchey old guy named Bill that is on it. The premise of the show is that strangers are paired together to finish these lists. Well, of course Bill gets paired with this obvious gay guy and the second they're paired you can tell he's not real thrilled. However, they made it through to the Rich List the first time and even made it through the second time. They've already won $25,000 and are in the Rich List again. I'm not a big game show fan but I admit, I dig it.
America's Next Top Model was a recap show which is nice for everyone involved that doesn't have DVR. Granted, they showed some "never before seen" footage, but really it was just a filler episode and it kind of pissed me off. Oh well, such is life. Because I was still watching ANTM, I missed the results show for Dancing with the Stars, but I'm hoping Monique got voted off. I didn't know who she was before she got on the show and I don't know who she is now. All I do know is that she's a girl with too much attitude for such a little career.
It's been a hellishly busy couple of days at work so I'm gonna snuggle up in my bed and fall asleep watching Top Chef. Have a good night!
