Can you ever be just "whelmed?"
Speaking of not healthy (probably) I tried the Dunkin Donuts Flatbread Sandwiches yesterday.. Well, I really only tried one (the turkey cheese and bacon) and it was mighty good. It's like a quesadilla, but thicker. I recommend, but not necessarily as a meal.. perhaps a mid afternoon snack.
I went to Quizno's for lunch today to get me some Sammies (it's payday and i LOVE the bistro steak melt) and against my very own wishes, I got Dr. Pepper instead of Diet Pepsi. What can I say? I needed a pick me up!
J and I are going to see Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay tonight. Was this my first choice? No, but NOTHING is playing in Hudson, not even movies that should have just come out (Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Baby Mama for example), so I'll suck it up. He made me watch the original Harold and Kumar go to White Castle, which was actually funnier than I had anticipated so I can't say I'm entirely disappointed to see it. I mean... Neil Patrick Harris (NPH) is in it once again.. what more could you ask for? Speaking of NPH - BAD BARNEY!!!
I probably would have been able to concentrate on things a little more if I weren't trying to help out J's sister. She is organizing a Trivia Night to benefit the Relay for Life and American Cancer Society and I'm trying to get my friends to go, and raise some money for her cause. As some of you may know, both my maternal grandparents died of lung cancer and my Dad had prostate cancer a few years ago, so this cause is kind of close to my heart! Unfortunately, I couldn't get the flyer to post, but here is the text from it.

Anyway, it looks like fun and I'm really looking forward to it. People are more than welcome to make a donation and of course, show up even if they don't want to play trivia!
Real quick - DWTS - Poor Cristian de la Fuente might have to drop out of the competition, after what looked like a pretty heinous muscle pull in his arm. I admit, I voted for him three times. I mean, he shouldn't go out like that, know what I mean? Let's just say, if he does drop out, Mario and Shannon Elizabeth should be thankful because I have a feeling the light would shine on them in the bottom two. Not necessarily because they didn't do well, I mean.. everyone at this point has the potential to win, but their attitudes and fan bases aren't necessarily up to snuff. Then again, who thought Cristian would come this far?! Anyway, we'll find out tonight what the plan is. And oh yeah.. Jason Taylor.... Grrrrrrr ;)

Busy Weekend
Anyway, once again, I had great intentions when it came to posting, but time got away from me.
My boss let us out a few hours early on Friday so my mom and I headed to Kingston to get a baby shower gift at Toys R'Us.. Where I ended up getting a gift for Tre and I: a second guitar for Guitar Hero. J had brought his down the other night and it was so much fun being able to have more than one person play, so when I saw that guitar, I knew we had to have it. Needless to say, J and Danny came down on Friday night and we all played Guitar Hero and had a few beers.
Saturday was my friend Brian's surprise 30th birthday party. We started at 2 pm and I had to take a nap around 10. I don't do well at parties like that because it's rare I like the food. Not that it was bad of course, just not me. I can never really eat subs cause of the lettuce, tomato and dressing, although I did force one tiny piece down so I my stomach wasn't completely empty. What's funny is, my friends know me pretty well: When they went out for a beer run they tried to find a McDonald's or something for me.. Anyway, J went with me and we all had a great time, boozing it up and playing games, although my back is a little sore from sleeping on the air mattress.
Sunday morning, J and I got up, went to breakfast at Friendly's (YUM) then back to his house to shower. After that, we hit up the mall where we frantically searched every store we could think of for Mario Kart for the Wii. We finally found it at our last stop, FYE, where J got that AND two extra steering wheels. I don't know who's familiar with the game and who isn't, but you basically drive these Mario characters around random raceways. Well, with the Wii you actually do it with a steering wheel, which is pretty interesting. I'd never played before and we spent at least two hours racing each other. He even let me borrow it for a few days, as he isn't going to be home. I brought it home so Tre could try it, but I don't think she's a very big fan, mainly cause we're not good at it yet. I kind of felt the same way at J's house cause he was royally kicking my ass. I mean.. no one wants to get beat!!! So, I guess for now I'll just play it at J's house until Tre decides she likes it.. Once the clouds cleared, we also hit up the batting cages where J tried out the new bat he had bought that day. I tried it too, but it was definitely too heavy for me, which may be another reason my back is kiling me today! We had a pretty busy weekend, which really helped me forget I was missing my rugby alumni reunion. I can't say I was heartbroken to miss it, but I would have at least liked to have seen a few people. Oh well.. such is life.
Adam took home the big prize on Big Brother, by an almost unanimous vote (only Joshuah voted for Ryan). I was surprised, because when the jury grilled the final two, Adam came off looking very egotistical and kind of idiotic. I just felt like Ryan played the game better and that Adam rode his coattails, much like I did last year with Dick and Daniele.. Obviously, I was wrong about that one too.. You have to feel slightly bad for Adam though, because I think he really won because he was going to do more charitable things with the money.. however I wonder if he'll change his mind on his $100,000 donation when he finds out that he doesn't have a job to go back to. Next season starts on July 13th... So my DVR has a few weeks to rest in between, thank god!
After kicking ass last week, Jen got the boot from Top Chef. There really was no other way to go. Her "crouton" was the worst part of the meal and she was solely responsible. Now she can join Zoi at home, although I'm disappointed cause I thought she really could have gone far. Just goes to show that one bad judgment call can send you home!
The first girl to leave Rome on ANTM was Lauren, and I have to say, it's about time. I mean.. yes, she took great pictures.. but she can't walk to save her life and that's what a model is all about! Hell.. I've seen men on Halloween that walk better in heels than Lauren (and NOT drag queens).
I hope to post more later, but I make no promises.. Time's just gotten away from me lately. Try to get through this gloomy Monday and get used to it.. We're not going to see the sun (or last week's temperatures) any time soon :(

Good Intentions
For instance, I planned to blog last night, but J came down and brought his Guitar Hero guitar with him, so we battled instead.. I think we each won one battle. He says he sucks on our TV.. I think he's making excuses.
Final Two on Big Brother are Ryan and Adam. Surprising, but not really. Ryan didn't have Sharon's back, so she got booted on Tuesday night. Ryan won the first part of the HOH competition and Adam won the second part, pitting them against each other for the final HOH. I wonder if Sheila could actually hear the nail go into her coffin. Ryan won by a slim margin, and inevitably ousted Sheila. who bawled her brains out.. with no tears. Thank god the show ends Sunday so I can get my life back... and watch Reaper again.
OMG - Michael Scott just quoted Swingers on The Office. I could NOT love this show anymore than I already do.
The Real Housewives of NYC reunion was as entertaining as I'd hoped it would be. Apparently, Alex (besides being ridiculously pretentious and codependent) has some naked pics in her past, and Ramona (she of the slutty clothes and annoying, loud mouth) didn't want to be associated with them, so she stormed off the set. Um... .what?! Hi Pot... Meet Kettle. Next season CAN NOT start quick enough!
I had a nightmare last night that I was abducted at gunpoint. I think it might have something to do with the fact that J and I were watching Commando right before we fell asleep. At least I really hope that's why.
Unsurprisingly, Lauren (ANTM) and Marlee Matlin (DWTS) got booted from their respective shows, and probably for similar reasons: Lauren was a terrible walker and Marlee Matlin well.. just didn't quite have the rhythm. That's similar, right?
I ran 3.4 miles this afternoon, and I'd like to thank Maureen for giving me enough time to catch my breath. Is a shout-out on the blog good enough for you?!
I'm hoping to scoot out of work a little early tomorrow, and if I can find some good stuff online, I'll try to blog again tomorrow. TGIF for sure!!!

Empty Promises
I took out my summer clothes last night and modified my closet accordingly. What this really means is that I had to organize all my shoes into some semblance of order so I could find all the cute open toes and flip flops I have to wear this summer. NO MORE SOCKS!!!!
Showmance? Certainly not on Dancing with the Stars!? Speaking of which.. it's time for Marlee Matlin to go. I understand that she's done a phenomenal job and all, especially considering she can't hear the music, but compared to the talents of the other remaining contestants, she's just not cutting it. And oh yeah.. Def Leppard is performing on the results show tonight. Someone explain that one..
As expected, Sharon and Sheila got nominated for eviction on Big Brother, which means tonight's POV is definitely the most important ever. Ryan is unsure of his trust for Adam after Adam whispered to Natalie that he was the one who voted for her to stay after her eviction. The executioner was supposed to be kept secret so as not to bias her in the end vote. So, I'm thinking if Adam doesn't win POV, he might be up on the block and be the one to go. We'll see tonight, as someone is also ousted tonight and after tomorrow, we'll know our final two. If Sharon makes it through tonight's eviction she needs to win HOH and she'll be a shoe in to win the whole thing. Then again, I thought anyone that went up against Evil Dick last year would win and I was wrong about that too, so let's just say she didn't burn a lot of bridges and for that, I'd vote for her to win over any of the others.
A few weeks ago, my girl Claire got eliminated from ANTM, then we had to deal with a "clip show" so I had kind of forgotten what happened. This week, Fatima got to stay even though she never made it to the photo shoot. She had an appointment to deal with her travel documents and the strength of her portfolio of photos pushed her past Stacy Ann and off to Rome with Dominique, Lauren, Anya, Katarzyna and Whitney.
I almost shit a brick when Jim got down on one knee on The Office... to tie his shoe. He DOES have a ring though.. as if that wasn't enough to keep you watching the show, right?
Jen avenged her love, Zoi's ouster from Top Chef by winning the immunity challenge right off the bat, which was pairing a random beer with the food of their choice. In the elimiation challenge, the chefs had to cook at a tailgate party for the Chicago Bears which meant BBQ grills and beer for everyone! Dale ended up winning the challenge and won himself the grill he used to cook his award winning meal on while Ryan (one of my faves, although not cause he was so talented.. but cause I liked some of the quips he's made during the season) was booted for his take on tailgating that didn't go over so well with the folks in Chicago.
Tonight is the reunion show for my favorite reality guilty pleasure: The Real Housewives of New York City. Yes my friends.. the fur is going to fly and I can't f'n wait!
Speaking of NYC: I got my mom and I tickets to see A Chorus Line on Broadway for Mother's Day. It's a present for her.. but for me too. It's my favorite show EVER (i cried when I saw it at Proctor's so I can't imagine what I'll be like to see it on Broadway) and Mario Lopez will be starring as Zach, the role made famous in the movie by Michael Douglas. I can't wait!
I've got to go to a meeting about the Medifast job that my friend Allyson wants me to do, so I don't think I'll have time to blog tonight. At least I've given you a warning... Enjoy your evening. It's GORGEOUS outside so take advantage while you can.

My Friend Tim
Oh yes.. that's Darius Rucker, lead singer of Hootie and the Blowfish, holding a sign with my name on it. Like I told Tim, he's no Huey Lewis, but he'll do. Unfortunately, I think Tim told him that too, and obviously this picture was taken before that (Smart move Tim). So, he still hasn't called me back, but he made me laugh... and isn't that enough sometimes?
Thursday night, J and I met my sister and some other friends at My Place in East Greenbush for dinner and drinks. That was fun, until this familiar looking face walked in. That familiar face was a person Tre and I call "the weasel," who I used to "date" a few years ago. I haven't seen him in a while and always vowed that if given the opportunity, I'd knee him in the balls. Anyway, he was with a friend of mine who I've had a crush on for.. oh.. 13 years or so. I kissed him when I was like.. 20 and he was one of the worst kissers ever. I figure time can have only helped him. So, he came right over and chatted with me, gave me a great big hug, etc.. While the weasel stood next to him making snide comments trying to get my attention, which I subsequently ignored.. except for one: Hottie McHotterson told me how the weasel had just gotten a new motorcycle that day and weasel makes some comment about him probably wrapping it around a tree. My response: "Promise?" I think it took all of Hottie's self control to not snort beer out his nose... :) J and I got into a little tiff that night... I can't imagine why.... hee hee..
I took Friday off as a sick day. I had headaches every single day last week and I really just needed a mental health day. I didn't get as much done as I wanted to, but I did get to see my friend Shani's new baby (Kaylen (sp?) Elizabeth Martin) who is adorable as can be. I also made my buffalo chicken wing dip to take to J's brother's house for yet another Rock Band evening. Unfortunately, it was only J, his brother and their friend Paul when I got there. That meant someone had to sing and since the boys got booed off the stage, I was the next likely culprit. Now, I don't have a terrible voice, but I really wasn't ready to embarass myself with songs I know nothing about so I was pretty wary of doing it. I SHOULD have sucked it up and gotten booed, but my ego wouldn't handle that so I did pretty well and am now the singer.. until someone else gets drunk enough to do it. I'm proud to say I got 100% on Wonderwall by Oasis. It's one of my favorite songs so I knew I had to kick ass at it.
Saturday was pretty busy: J and I met his friend and her daughter for breakfast, which was fun. I even got a hug from her daughter when we left, which was so adorable! I had planned to go to the gym until I realized Tre and I didn't have a b'day present for our goddaughter/cousin, who's birthday party was at 6 pm.. I ran to the outlets and got her a few shirts AND got me two pairs of flip flops from Nine West.. What can I say? Buy one, get one 50% off? Who turns that down? Tre and I went to the party (J didn't make it.. he fell asleep.. yeah.. let's go there) and then the "of age" family members decided we were going out that night, so we all met up at the Tiki Bar at the Valkin in Valatie. It was a little chilly, but a relatively nice night and I think we all had a good time. I can't say I felt phenomenal on Sunday morning, but at least I didn't have leaves all over my clothes from falling in the yard when we got home (if it wasn't me, see if you can figure out who it was!) It took all day for me to motivate myself, but I ended up running from my house to my parent's house. It was 3.3 miles and I did it in a decent time, but I was certainly ready to stop when the time came. I'm getting a little nervous about this boiler maker thing if I already want to die after three miles..
That's all for now. I'm going to try to catch you up on all that is reality TV later, but I make no promises.. I have lots of TV to get through and laundry to do. It's Monday after all. Enjoy your night!!
Give me a break

I Had Mini-Eggs for Breakfast
The plan was carried out (kind of according to plan) and Natalie was ousted from the BB house! I'm SOOOOO glad I don't have to listen to her anymore.. at least not for three hours a week! I didn't get to see the beginning of the episode so if anything substantial had gone down, I'll let you know what it was.. Ryan won the HOH competition, but in such a shady way! Sharon had it in the bag and the final "fact or fiction" question basically asked if there was another "pre-existing relationship" besides Sharon/Jacob and Ryan/Jen in the house. Um.. no.. there wasn't, and Sharon chose fiction while Ryan chose fact. The answer was FACT as the f'n guinea pigs were considered such.. STUPID... so Ryan wins the tie breaker question (which Sharon should have thought more about) and is now HOH, meaning the girls will be on the block this week. POV is CRUCIAL and it's about time Sharon won something.. I'm really ok with anyone winning at this point, now that Natalie is out. I know most people hate this show, but it's a guilty pleasure and I can't not love it.
The Rock of Love 2 Reunion will air on Sunday night on VH1 and apparently there's a beatdown extraordinaire between Daisy and Heather (from Season 1). Poor Daisy.. the girl just can't win!
Better..
It's too nice to be working...

I Know I Don't Own a House or Anything...
Ok... rant over.. however don't tell that to my fingers, who are still trying to find feeling..
Priscilla Presley got booted from Dancing with the Stars. It was deserved. She's done a great job up to now, but her samba (I think it was a samba) just wasn't up to snuff. Everyone else did a pretty good job and she was so very obviously the one that should go.
J and I watched The Bank Job last night. Good god, I love bootlegged DVD's! I liked it.. it didn't blow my socks off or anything, and Jason Statham certainly wasn't shirtless enough for my liking, but I thought it was a decent movie, and even more interesting since it's based on a true story.
I didn't get to watch Big Brother, but it seems the plan to oust Natalie has been put in motion. Adam won the POV, taking himself off the block and putting Natalie up in his place. However, Tre tells me the boys are having issues with letting her go because they might rather take her to the end as that gives them a better shot of winning. I hate the idea, but it's true. The only people that would vote for Natalie to win in that house is Matt.. and only because she'll probably give him a little something something in return. Tonight's episode should be interesting: Either things will go to plan and I won't have to listen to Natalie's voice anymore, or the boys will vote to keep her and Sharon will go, making Sheila the next target (duh) as she won HOH this week and can't compete.
Bret Michaels DID pick my girl Ambre, as the winner of Rock of Love 2, however I think there could be a Rock of Love 3 in his future... Seems he doesn't see the show as his stairway to true love.. Check out this interview..
Rumors are swirling that Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are getting married cause she has a bun in the oven. Oh Papa Joe.. where did you go wrong? At least Jess waited till she was married.. you can see how well THAT worked out...
Finally (for now) Happy birthday wishes go out to Rachael and Sipper, my friends in other countries!! I hope you guys have great b'days and maybe someday you'll be able to celebrate them together...

Perfect end to a Monday
I've been pretty busy so I haven't had a chance to post lately (weekends full of drinking, guitar hero and rock band will do that to you) but I'll do my best. Happy Tax Day!!!

Is it Friday yet?
Yesterday we had an office meeting regarding our billable hours. I know mine aren't up to snuff, but if no one is giving me work (to a certain extent.. I'm relatively self sufficient, but I can't do everything on my own), then I can't bill out to our clients. I kind of had a feeling that would come up and I subtly tried to point out to my boss that if she were here more, we could bill more, but she wasn't quite getting it. So yeah.. that put a damper on my morning to say the least. She was talking about cutting overhead and I'm pretty sure overhead = Me. If one of the state positions came through, I'd be ok with it, but obviously nothing has come from any of the canvas letters I've received so I'm not so eager to hear "you're fired"... trump style.
Tuesday night I went to my cousin Laura's for a jewelry party. I'll admit, nothing really jumped out at me! I got a pair of earrings and a necklace I had liked previously, but that was it. The nice thing was that I had a $50 gift certificate so I ended up spending roughly $6. That sure did work in my favor. When I got home, Tre and I watched Big Brother, as per usual. Ryan won the POV and while it looked like James had gotten through to him, Ryan decided to make the predictable move and take Sheila off the block, leaving Adam to put James back on. I have yet to see last night's episode, but I do know (predictably so and probably unanimously) James got the boot. I also know who won HOH (DO NOT click if you don't want the outcome spoiled) and it's gonna be an interesting week....
Speaking of reality shows, I forgot to mention the final two for Rock of Love are Daisy and Ambre. I've liked them both throughout the competition for different reasons: Daisy, cause she's a little bit out there, but seems like a nice chick and would probably do well in the rock world. Ambre, cause she's super nice (until you cross her) and she's actually NOT 20 years younger than Brett. I mean.. he'll probably pick Daisy, but I'm kind of OK with that. With all the drama she's managed to stick around, so she probably deserves to win! Still, it looks like Brett has more issues besides which girl to pick...
Last night, J and I went to the Albany River Rats game. His sister, brother in law and niece were supposed to go, but the baby got a 101 degree fever at day care, so they couldn't make it. We didn't know for sure until about 5:00, so it was a little too late to try to get someone else to go. I mean, we did both call our siblings, but it was too late. It didn't matter really, the game was pretty good and the Rats won it with an insane goal with just over a minute left to go. There was only one fight, but lots of banging against the boards. What more could a girl ask for? Oh yeah.. baked potato soup, which I got when J took me to Houlihan's for dinner before the game. He thinks sometimes... really he does. He also gave me the bootleg of Gone Baby Gone that I'd been asking for, and if I had five free minutes, I'd probably watch it. I have no plans tonight, but The Office is FINALLY new and I have lots of taped shows to watch. Seriously... what did I do without DVR? Oh yeah.. I had a life.. I forgot! We FINALLY finished watching War last night. It was fine.. I just wasn't in the mood to watch it. It was the third attempt we made and we only watched it from where we were sure we had both left off. We've been trying to watch Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story for weeks, so I was a tad peeved that J was forcing War upon me. Then Jason Statham came on the screen and somehow I was no longer upset.
Apparently someone likes rocker guys. And oh yeah.. Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are engaged. I don't think he's really a "rocker guy" but he does wear eyeliner so we'll cut him a break and let him pretend.
I JUST started getting into "How I Met Your Mother" and it cracks me up every time I watch it. I think this episode will be a can't miss tv moment...
One of our clients brought in Butterfinger bars for everyone today. I'm doing pretty well on my own derailing my exercise and eating regimens.. Ok.. exercise.. I don't really HAVE an eating regimen, but you know what I'm saying.. Point is, I don't need anyone else to help me F up my so called diet. Although now I'm slightly relieved that I managed to fend off the Mini Egg craving I had all morning cause I might have to bust out that butterfinger for dessert. Damn ass kissers... Just remember.. stuff like that works. This guy's phone call is going to get through EVERY time... ;)
Last week I watched "Step it Up and Dance" on Bravo. The only Bravo Project Runway Copycat I haven't liked was Top Design, and Step it Up and Dance was no exception. I found it interesting and the people on the show are... different. Just like I'd hoped. Elizabeth Berkely is nothing more than window dressing, but she tries. As do the dancers. The concept is a little different in that the immunity challenge leaves two groups: one that can win the challenge and another that's up for elimination. So from the get go, you know who's safe and who's not. The great thing about last week's show is that the girl (damned if I can remember their names yet) that got booted was originally in the "safe" group.. then had a dance off with another girl and they were switched. The girl that was NOW safe, bit the big one during the challenge and if she'd been in the group she probably belonged to originally, she'd have been the one to go home. That, and there was already an injury so two girls went home the first week. This week looks to be a tad bit Broadway, and a lot of the dancers have substantial experience in that area, so it should prove to be both entertaining and bitchy.. two of my favorite things!
Time to get back to the grind. If you know a way to make the clock go quicker, let me know.. and Oh yeah.. Happy Early Birthday (tomorrow) to my friend Sarah and my friend Chad. Hope you guys have great b'days!! :)

Making up for lost time
Apparently, Project Runway is moving from Bravo to Lifetime. I am not a fan of the Lifetime network, as my husband didn't run off with my nanny or try to kill me. I'm curious to see how this will work out and if everyone involved will stay on board. If not, Lifetime could kill the show quicker than lethal injection. The good news is that it's likely we'll get two remaining editions of the show in 2008: One to air on Bravo and the next to air on Lifetime.
Big Brother: Well, when we last left the show, A-Baller had won the Head of Household competition, leaving Sharon to kick herself about the head and face, as she had a chance. Speculation was rampant around the house, as everyone just assumed he would put up James and Sharon. However, Adam had his own ideas and put up Sharon and Sheila. The Power of Veto competition is tonight and if the nominations stay the same, it might be time for Sheila to go. Basically, Adam said that if anyone wanted James out, they should fight for the veto and force Adam to put him up and I kind of respect him for that. Hell, the kid's won like, the last four POV competitions, might as well mix things up. That, and I'd really like to see Sheila get out. She doesn't irk me as much as Natalie (come on.. who could?) but I'm kind of sick of her.
Top Chef: Good episode, but I expected more. The chefs were paired up and had to be inspired by their favorite movies. There were so many better movies they could have picked that actually had something to do with food, yet they went with Willy Wonka (good pick.. just scares the bejesus out of me), Il Postino, Good Morning Vietnam, A Christmas Story and Top Secret. I thought A Christmas Story was going to be a disaster, but Ryan and Mark managed to pull it off, without Mark having a clue what the movie was about. I guess it had to be hard for them, with Mark being from New Zealand and all.. Coming up with a movie proved to be very trying! Il Postino and Good Morning Vietnam landed in the bottom two, and Manuel's reluctance to take charge gave him the boot. It was unfortunate, cause I kind of thought Spike deserved to go as he is supposedly making Vietnamese cuisine at his restaurant. He should have done better if that was his "thing." Richard, Andew and Dale's Willy Wonka inspired meal drew tons of praise from the judges, crowning Richard the winner of the elimination challenge, much to the chagrin of their fellow constestants, as few of them believed their white chocolate, wasabi and celery root dish couldn't POSSIBLY taste good.. Au contraire...
For the second time in as many years, I came in second in my old job's Final Four pool, netting me $25. Hey.. Beggars can't be choosers. In my other pool, it's quite possible I came in second, but tied a six month old. I guess I'm just happy she didn't beat me.
So Beyonce and Jay-Z got married? The marriage will more than likely be confirmed when they get divorced..
I finally managed to watch The Real World Awards Bash... and i was bored. I really never thought that would happen. My friend Chris and I were OBSESSED with it when it first came out and I have to say, I made it through to Key West without ever missing an episode. Then I realized there were better reality TV shows where people weren't drunk or having sex all the time.. just most of the time. Anyway, Chris called me because he wanted to know if I had seen Nathan from Seattle yet. He was a good looking guy back then and to say he hasn't aged well is an understatement. I really don't know what happened! To quote Clueless "he's a Monet." I saw him from afar, called Chris and said that he still looked good. Chris made me watch further and I then saw what he meant. Speaking of Seattle, Stephen is gay and getting married to his partner. Yep.. Stephen.. the perpetrator of "the slap hear round the world" on Irene when she told him "a marriage between you and I wouldn't work" because he's a homosexual.. to which he responded by grabbing his dick (ya know.. to prove his nonhomo-ness), throwing her stuffed animal in the water and THEN slapping a girl. Yeah Stephen.. you being gay was a REAL shocker! Anyway, Puck's still a douche, most of the girls will kiss another girl if the cameras are rolling, and Eric Nies looks like Jesus. That was about all I took from it.
I spent the weekend playing Guitar Hero. Seriously.. ALL weekend. J and I went to dinner and then to his brother's house on Saturday night, where we played Guitar Hero and THEN we played Rock Band, which is totally cool. I have newfound respect for musicians cause let me tell you, drums are HARD!!! I had everything on the easy setting, but it didn't matter. I'm happy to say I never got booed off the stage, but I also didn't have the balls to do the vocals. All the songs were like.. hard rock songs and I didn't know them nor did I want to embarass myself. I let J do it. I did NOT want to leave when the time came, but J's vacation is over so we had to go home. However, when I woke up in the morning I was pleasantly surprised to find a bag full of Mini Eggs on my car mirror. It took me until now to eat any of them, but I brought a bag to work and I'm making my way through it was we speak. Thanks Shell!!! You do take good care of me :). I ran four miles Sunday morning and then Tre and I went to Chatham to bowl. We THOUGHT we were bowling three games, but it turned out to be six instead. My legs felt like Jell-O and I was in bed by 9:30.
You all know my trials and tribulations with the Medifast Diet. As much as I didn't like it (for me) it did work! My friend Allyson and her husband are now distributors of the products and she called me the other night with an interesting opportunity. They're looking for people to be "health coaches." Basically, people who have done (or are in the process of doing) the diet that can be a shoulder to lean on for newbies. I would have to call people every couple of days (if that's what they want), answer their questions, give them advice, that type of thing. Also, hopefully I could get them to order their supplies through me and I get a portion of the sales. It seems like an easy, not very time consuming way to make some extra money. There is a meeting on Saturday afternoon, so my mom and I are going to go up and learn more about it. My mom is doing great on it and even with all my bitching, I'm considering doing it again to jump start some things. I mean, I lost 7 pounds in two weeks.. that's nothing to shake a stick at! We shall see what happens and if anyone really is interested in doing the diet, let me know. I'd be more than happy to let you make me some money ;) hee hee.. I'd love to be able to pay off some credit card bills without obtaining an illegal or illicit job opportunity!
My cousin Laura is having a Lia Sophia jewelry party tonight, so after I run the bridge, I have to head over there. Luckily, I have a $50 gift certificate so hopefully I won't end up spending too much. I mean, I haven't made any money yet AND I didn't win too much from my Final Four pool, so I don't want to go overboard.
Hopefully this post helped make up for my Guitar Hero slacking of late.... Get outside.. it's GORGEOUS!!!!

Awkward Moment
Checkout girl: Oh, these are on sale aren't they? You should have gotten two boxes.
Me: Oh, I did, it was a great price.
Checkout girl: Oh scented. Yeah, I always get the scented ones cause of the funk.
Me:
Oh yes.. she actually said "funk," referring to her cooch smell. Who does that? And why did she feel like I needed to know it? FYI - I didn't..
Meanest thing I said this weekend
Jason: Well, looks like you can't make babies.
Kara: Yeah, apparently that's not an issue for you. Oh wait.. that's THE OTHER GUY!
Yeah.. that was mean and I felt bad about it.. but as usual, he got over it and spent the rest of the time staring at my boobs and trying to make bets to get me into bed. I love it when things go back to normal :).

Another Milestone
My sister bought Guitar Hero III last night. I'm already sick of hearing "Slow Ride" and "Talk Dirty to Me," but in a good way. If I have trouble finding time to post in the near future, you know who to blame.
When will this bitch ever learn?
I'm only slightly mortified that I'm hoping this comes to Albany....
Joshuah's plan backfired, and he got booted from the Big Brother house last night. Adam subsequently won POV, which means it's pretty likely Sharon and James are going on the block, unless Adam finally decides to grow a set and stop playing under Natalie's thumb... so yeah.. Sharon and James.. on the block...
I've got to finish up some work (it's been a busy week), hopefully do my run outside and practice Guitar Hero before my sister comes home. Sorry this post is so piddly, but you should simply be thankful you're getting a post at all! TGIF :)

We want the hump
The Gutt got booted from DWTS!! I'm so pissed! His tango was so damn good and it wasn't his time at all! I'm going to miss him and as much as I love Julianne, I hope Adam Carolla gets booted next week. I'm a little sick of him.
When will they learn!? Once again, James won the Power of Veto competition and took himself off the block, forcing Natalie to put up Sharon. It all sounded well and good, that Joshuah would now have to leave, but he's worked his way into a deal (so far) so that Sharon goes home and he stays. He's a wily little thing, that Joshuah! I'm curious to see how it plays out AND to see who wins HOH. If it's James, shit is totally going to hit the fan and I can only hope that's how it goes, cause I need Natalie gone. I have to turn down the volume when they show her confessionals so I don't bash my head in.
After J blew me off last night, I watched Eastern Promises. Interesting movie. I thought it was good, however the Russian accents made it hard to understand sometimes. It was really violent, and no matter what you think, you do NOT want to see a naked man fight in a bath house. It was very disturbing and I was only slightly distracted by his twig and berries. Still, a pretty good movie and Viggo Mortenson was really great in it.
So yeah.. apparently J's vacation from work is also turning into a vacation from me. I made that exact statement last night and his response was "it's only been three days." Yep.. so now I'm crazy stalker girlfriend, which is so not the case. I had sent him an email earlier that day with the menu for the Double O Grill down in Rhinebeck.. hint hint.. Apparently he didn't get the hint. His response: that's a big fucking menu. Then when I finally get to talk to him, he tells me that he's going to his buddie's house to drink. Now, the boy doesn't drink when he works, so I can understand that he'd want to get his drink on while on vacation.. I do get that. However, say that earlier in the day or something! That's what pisses me off. That, and I can't remember a Tuesday in the last five or six months that we haven't done something, so forgive me for assuming we will. So yeah... needless to say, we didn't really talk last night and I made white trash dinner (mac and cheese with hot dogs) and watched Eastern Promises.
It's partially my fault I guess. I've been in a funk the last few days, for some reason. My brain doesn't seem to be working and I've had to literally drag myself out of bed each morning. I thought exercise was supposed to give you energy! Me... not so much?
I've got to get back to work, but tonight is chock full of reality TV which, if last night is any indication, I'll be home to watch.
Congrats go out to my friend Shannon, who had her baby yesterday.. no name yet, but it's a girl!
PS - I really don't want to, but I think I'm addicted to the Real Housewives of NYC... Someone take me to Bravo TV Rehab.. stat! Oh wait.. their new dance show is starting on THursday so if you could wait.. I don't know.. 12 weeks or so.. that'd be great ;)
