B-12 my ass

I'm beginning to wonder who (if anyone) got the raw deal in this situation.. I mean.. who do you believe?

Only time will tell

Friday was a BAD Medifast Day. I really almost threw in the towel. I was just insanely frustrated and wanted to eat real food sooooo badly! Over the weekend mom came up with some recipes that helped, but I'm still only doing it for another week. Maybe only until Friday, as I have some plans this weekend. I've definitely realized what I need to do as far as snacking and eating dinner and stuff, so I think once I finish this I'll just do a modified weight watchers or count calories or something. I lost four pounds in this first week on Medifast which is good (don't get me wrong) but I think I expected at least five or more, what with all that I'm NOT eating and my time in the gym. I'm just frustrated and having a hard time sticking it out. Don't get me wrong, the plan works! It's just a little harder than I anticipated.

I went to J's on Friday night after bowling, as there was less of a chance I'd have something to drink there than if I went out with my friends that night. The next morning he was like "Well, we can't go to breakfast..." so I told him ONE MORE WEEK, as I love breakfast.. I just probably won't continue to get a sausage and cheese omelette and an english muffin dripping with butter.. MMM... butter.. Saturday I went to the gym and basically hung out, doing nothing. J came over Saturday night, and we played Super Mario Bros 2, that I downloaded to the Wii.. it's amazing what you remember, as neither of us have played that game in YEARS! It was an entertaining way to spend an hour or so. I also watched Mighty Aphrodite before he got there. It was actually a Woody Allen movie I could tolerate, although Mira Sorvino's accent was atrocious! I can't believe she won an Oscar for that role... Sunday I meant to go to the gym, but I woke up with a crazy headache and decided against it. I went to my goddaughter's basketball game, then went bowling with my dad. I actually bowled decent, which is a nice change from the norm lately. I might have to skip it this Friday. Maybe a week off will do me some good. Anyway, last night I was at my parent's house for dinner and that was the extent of it. Big weekend! ha ha.

I have a dilemma and maybe someone can help me with it. Tre and I live in between two houses. The house to our right (as you're looking at the house) has two adorable pugs, who only come outside a few times a day with someone that lives in the house. The other side, has a Bassett Hound and a large Poodle. The poodle is the issue. He jumps over the fence and constantly bares his teeth and barks NON STOP! He's been doing the barking thing since we moved in, but the jumping over the fence thing is kind of new. Well, jumping over it isn't... how close he gets to you is new. He used to get about five feet and then he'd stop dead in his tracks and just bark. Now he gets right up next to you. I don't know if he would really bite anyone, but he bares his teeth and looks pretty menacing. I usually chase him across the fence with a shovel. The fence is a wire one, and it's been worn down from the dog putting his front legs on it. Now if he sees anyone outside he runs across the yard and takes a flying leap over it. It's a little scary to see him jump over the fence and come right at you! Anyway, when I came home from the gym on Saturday, he was in my driveway and I almost hit him. Apparently he had gotten into our yard, behind the garage and into the neighbor's yard, where the pugs were outside with the teenage daughter of the family that lives there. I guess the poodle went after her and she was on the phone with the cops when I got there. I don't know what, if anything happened with that, but no cop was ever seen in the area and no one came to our door. So, I'm wondering what the best cause of action would be. I mean, the owner of the dog has to know what's going on. She's seen the fence for god's sake! I don't know if the cops will really do anything, or if I should call Animal Control or what. I don't want anything to happen to the dog, I just really want to give the owner a scare. I mean, there IS a leash law so when he's in our yard, he's violating that. It's not my job to keep her dog out of my yard, it's her job to keep him in hers, am I right? Anyway, if anyone has any insight, please feel free to let me know. What's funny is, the neighbor has this beautiful wooden fence up on the front of the property. Then, once you can't see it from the road it's this flimsy wire mess. Why would you stop!?

The Colts lost to the Chargers yesterday 28-24. I'm insanely disappointed, to say the least. I told J it's because I didn't have a Peyton Manning jersey to wear while the game was on. He begs to differ..

OOOH... I caught up on Project Runway.. Bat shit crazy Elisa got booted during the Hershey's challenge (they could make their outfit out of anything they could find in the Hershey's store in Times Square) because her outfit looked like.. well.. shit. Plain and simple. Jillian was the only one to use real food on her outfit (licorice) and it turned out OK, but I don't think it was worth all the trouble it caused! The following week, the challenge was to make a prom dress for some pretty tough customers. From the get-go you knew Christian was gonna have a hard time. He's a diva and so was his client. He made her look.. well... it was an ugly dress. Everything about it was ugly AND he threw her under the bus for it.. Bottom two anyone!? The shocker in the bottom two (and subsequent "auf"ing) was Kevin! Granted, his dress wasn't finished to the Judges liking and she looked a tad hippy, but I didn't think that he was going home. I will miss my random straight man on the show! And oh yeah.... I love me some Rami but WOW... someone gets defensive and can't take criticism... That's all I'll say as it looks like this point will rear it's ugly head again next week.

Luckily, the snow we expected didn't come.. or at least not as much as was forecast. I marveled at the winter wonderland on the way to work (the trees look so much prettier with snow on them) and didn't slide all over the road, so I was a happy camper. However, (obviously) not much to do here today so I'll see what I can do about posting some entertaining things I can find... Try to make it through your Monday.. I'm gonna go microwave myself some soup..

I give up

I've thrown down the white flag in surrender. The me and veggies thing. NOT going to happen. Our relationship rates right up there with that of Buffy and Glory on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. (the TV show, not the movie... although that would be funny since Kristy Swanson is a spokesperson for Medifast... but anyway...) We are mortal enemies and that's just the way life was meant to be. Will this derail my Medifasting? I hope not. I'm cynical enough about it as it is, I don't need any help. This is going to be the longest month of my life. I realized this morning that my friend's Superbowl party is on the last day of my diet. Well.. I mean second to last ;).

Ewwww

Celery too, is a no-go. It was disgusting! Stringy and crunchy all at the same time.. blech! I couldn't even get it down.. spit it right back into my napkin.. But I did enjoy my new George Foreman grill that my parents found for me at Target. So much easier and so much quicker! I'm a big fan already!!!

Last night, the Wu-Tang continued their winning streak, beating Orange Juice 4-0. We play the team we've been wanting to play for the last two sessions, the Tangerine Beavers, next week, so we really need to step up our game. I leveled some girl last night, but it wasn't intentional. I was trying to get in front of her and she moved.. Seriously.. I knocked her down like she'd just gotten pummelled by Mike Tyson. I felt real bad.. even apologized, and I don't usually do that during soccer! lol.. Let's just say, I didn't pass out during the game, so I consider it a good night!

Not much going on as of late. J and I watched Disturbia the other night, which was a pretty good flick. I felt a little dirty watching Shia Labeouf make out with some chick, but I'm sure I'll manage to get over it.

This little bit of eye candy is for the ladies.. OK.. really it's for me, but I'm sure most others will enjoy it as well.

So... rumor is that Pam Anderson has a bun in the oven and is still (again) getting divorced from Rick Soloman. Seems she asked for spousal support (like she needs it), but no child support. Maybe the baby isn't his!? Guess we'll have to wait and see..

Strike 2

Cauliflower is a no-go. I repeat... ixnay on the caulifloweray... I really wonder if my aversion to veggies is a texture thing. I tried to puree the cauliflower in a blender but my blender(s) just weren't having it. I think that might have made a slight difference. Again, I choked it down.. literally... and didn't even finish it. I gave it the good old college try, but it was to no avail. At the store I bought a yellow pepper, red pepper, steamfresh garlic cauliflower, steamfresh broccoli and yellow summer squash. I'm not saying any of those are going to work, but I'm trying. Give me some credit.

I went to Wal-Mart tonight to try and find a George Foreman grill, but they were all out. However, I did find the controversial Jessica Seinfeld book, Deceptively Delicious. I haven't had a chance to read it yet, but we'll see how it works. I think KNOWING the veggies are in there defeats the purpose, but I'm willing to try anything.

Congrats go out to Goose Gossage for finally getting inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. He's been on the ballot for quite a while and is the only player to make it in this year.

J is here and he's bugging me and I can't tell him what I need to finish. I told him it was personal and he was like "ok, really.. what are you finishing?" I couldn't exactly say "oh.. the blog you get mentioned on at least three times a week." :) He went to the car so I have a slight chance to finish this up. Late soccer game tomorrow night, but I'll try to post at some point tomorrow if I can. If not, soccer update on Thursday!!!!

Lean and Green

Oh lord.. this is going to be way harder than I thought. I made my chicken for dinner, then put a cup and a half of romaine lettuce on my plate. I saturated it with Wishbone Salad Spritzers, but it was to no avail. I really had to force it down and it was no fun whatsover. I even put a post on the message boards asking people for advice, and one lady actually got bitchy with me, kind of. I mean, I don't like vegetables and I'm not going to all of a sudden crave them, no matter how hard I try. I honestly don't think there's enough salad dressing in the world to get veggies and I to coexist. Other than that, the day wasn't so bad...

There will be no red carpet text messages between me and C. Howe, as the Golden Globes have been cancelled! Apparently there will just be a press confernce to announce the winners, as there was no point in having an awards ceremony that none of the stars would go to. Sure does suck to win a Globe this year, huh?

So, I assumed Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise never had a baby together cause one of them had "issues." Perhaps they only had isses with each other, as it's been widely reported that Nicole Kidman has a bun in the oven with husband Keith Urban. Course, it could just be a rumor (again) but it seemed to have more viability this time for some reason so I said "what the hell" and posted the news anyway... Yeah.. I'm crazy like that.

I've never claimed to be politically savvy

so I thought I'd take someone else's point of view and run with it...

Juno might be the funniest movie ever made. I'm not kidding.. J and I laughed our asses off through the entire thing. If it and Ellen Page don't win some sort of award, I'll be shocked.

A movie not winning awards will more than likely be Live Free or Die Hard... but I liked it anyway. I've never seen any of the other Die Hards, but J insists that's just cause Bruce Willis wasn't totally bald then... he might be right ;)

I ate my face off this weekend in preparation for today: my first day on Medifast. So far, so good.. I overnuked my oatmeal, so I probably should have eaten more, but it was congealed to the bottom of my bowl and the microwave. I'm just waiting a few more minutes before I can have my mid morning "meal". We'll see how that "lean and green" meal goes. I actually bought celery and lettuce, which I plan to douse in as much salad dressing as I'm allowed. More on that tomorrow..

Also - the new American Gladiators is THE BOMB... besides the fact that the Eliminator doesn't have any penalties or gladiators and I'm pretty sure two of the female gladiators are packing some male genitalia in their spandex shorts.. Still.. SO much fun to watch!

There is so much more going on than meets the eye. Girlfriend needs a stay at the crazy house! A LONG one...

I'm exhausted today. No real good reason to be either. J and I went to dinner and then came home to watch the Bourne Ultimatum. I managed to stay awake for the ten minutes (which was more like twenty) I had missed during our first viewing, but after that, I was out like a light. We went to bed shortly after and neither of us moved until the alarm went off a little after 5. He left, I passed out again and it took all the strength I had to get out of bed when my alarm went off.... three times. I think I might be coming down with something. I'm kinda sniffly and can't seem to get enough water. That can't be a good sign.

Oh yeah.. I did end up telling J about his sister in law's myspace post to me. He wasn't that frazzled at first, but the more we talked about it, I could tell he was getting pissed off (at her, not me). He said he probably wouldn't have found out if I hadn't told him but on the off chance she grew a set and said something to him, I wanted my ass covered. I begged him not to mention it and he said he wouldn't, or at least not implicate me if a good time came for him to bring it up. I can tell you one thing: I do NOT want to be around when it does happen, cause it won't be pretty. (ok.. that's a lie.. I'd kind of like to be a witness to the event when he rips her a new one.) Still no response from her, so this might be the end of it.

I've had hair issues the last few months and today, my friend Shannon will hopefully be my savior. I used to go to her but when I took the job in Albany, it just wasn't as convenient. Well, now that I'm back around this area (and I always liked what she did to my hair) I decided to give her another shot. She's coloring and cutting my hair today, and I'm really looking forward to it. Granted, it's short so she can't change much, but she's pretty good at making it look like something I'll never be able to do myself.. Also, she's pregnant with twins, so I can't wait to see her little baby belly!!! I have bowling tonight too, but I'm not rushing. If I make it after the appointment, I make it. I'm bowling better on the Wii than in real life so maybe a week off is what I need.

Other than that, no real news. Hope you make it through your Friday without passing out at your desk (oh wait.. that's MY goal). Still, I'll try to be back later with more news if there is any worth reporting. After all - No gnews is good gnews with Garry Gnu (Great Space Coaster... anyone?? Bueller??)

Wu Tang Killer Bees

We won our first game of the session last night, 2-0. Again, we were yelled at (by the other team) for being what they call pushy.. we call it playing aggressively. My sister is REALLY aggressive. I mean, if you push her, she'll push you back and that's how it should be! Last night she kicked the ball right into this woman's stomach. She went down like a ton of bricks and (honest to god) began to whimper like a puppy on the ground. There was probably about 10 minutes left in the half when this happened and she went out for the duration. When she came in for the second half she was STILL holding her stomach. Come on lady... get over it! I don't know what the deal is with all the drama queens!!!! Anyway, I got in front of this girl during a throw in and when I backed up, she fell down.. Ok, my ass might have made contact, but that's not really my fault.. we were both going for the ball. Well, their psycho old goggle wearing goalie starts SCREAMING at the ref "CALL THAT." He just looked at her, as there was nothing to call. I really thought she was going to throw punches when Tre ended up in the goal after a corner kick. What these people don't understand is that bitching will get them nowhere, and only revs us up even more! They were saying we should be in the first division, but we vehemently disagree. The people in the highest level are WAY faster than us and while we're improved considerably, it's still not time to go up. I mean, we only beat them 2-1 (granted, one goal came off one of our defenders, but who's counting?). However, we acquired a few new players and while they're nice to have and are both pretty talented, it's less playing time for everyone. I feel like I didn't even play last night and I'm used to being exhausted and sweating my ass off! Oh well, it was still a fun night out, as usual! Then again, tell that to my purple thigh!!!

I've decided I'm going to tell J what his sister in law said. I just don't want him to hear about it from her, as I have a feeling it wouldn't quite come out the right way. Hopefully he'll just be pissy at her for getting all up in his business, and not me for responding, even though I think I responded pretty diplomatically!

I finished my application at HVCC for the Radiologic Technology Program, but it's making me nervous. I really don't think I'm going to get in, as I have no hospital experience and any math and science courses I took were AGES ago! My friend Danny is looking into it too, and he'll have no problem getting in as he has countless hours of patient experience and has already taken some of the required courses. We'll see how it goes. Applications are due February 1, so I'm just waiting to get my transcripts so I can send them in. Apparently Castleton sent mine out on the 21st and I have yet to receive it. They seem to think it's because of the holidays. Really? Two weeks!? That seems a little crazy.. I told the woman that if I didn't get it by Monday I'd be calling back.. CGCC hasn't sent mine yet either, but they've been closed for a few weeks. It looks like they took the five bucks from my checking account though, so I imagine I'll get them any day now. I have to wait until I get my transcripts to see if I'll need a copy of my high school transcript. You would think I wouldn't as I have a bachelor's degree, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

Chris and I went to see No Country For Old Men this weekend. It was one of those movies where I really had no idea what I thought of it. I don't know if it's because I didn't really know what to expect from it or what, but we both left the theater saying "huh.... I don't know if I got it." I watched Hotel Rwanda on New Year's Day and that was a pretty good movie. I was unaware of the story prior as in 1994 I was a self absorbed high school senior, but I was appalled at how things went down and thought the movie was great. I mean, sometimes it's just amazing what one person can accomplish. I also confirmed that I am not a fan of Woody Allen or Diane Keaton movies and together, well I'd rather not discuss it. I'd been looking forward to seeing Annie Hall for quite some time. I fell asleep near the end and didn't even bother to watch it over again, as I just wasn't interested. I was sorely disappointed by my lack of love for the movie, in all honesty. I have Mighty Aphrodite coming in the mail today, so I guess I'll try to give Woody another shot. Diane Keaton... not so much.. I doubt I'll be lining up to see Mad Money, let's put it that way.

After the last post

I figure I'll have everyone and their mother telling me how awful J is and how he doesn't deserve me, blah blah blah. I kind of use this blog as a sounding board and sometimes I just want you to listen... not offer your opinion. Let me point out that he's not a terrible person by any means. After all, I think I probably say how much I've enjoyed stuff we've done more than I bitch about his emotional grownth, or lack thereof. He just has some... issues... as most of us do in certain aspects of our life. So, say what you will and give what advice you want, but don't get pissy when I don't take it. What I'm trying to say is thanks, but try not to jump to conclusions about my one-sided blog. ;) Doesn't mean I don't appreciate the love though... :)

Kristen Bell and Dax Sheperd huh? Oh Elle... I expected so much more from you and your taste in men. Speaking of Heroes.. it's highly possible the "HaLo" rumors are true. I don't know if I'm happy for her, or slightly skeeved out by him.

My mom and I are trying another diet for the new year, specifically, Medifast. My friend Allyson was on it and did pretty well so we thought we'd give it a shot and see what it has to offer. It's kind of expensive, but you're eating their food so it's not like you're spending millions on groceries. I guess it all evens out. I'm anxious to see how it works. I'll keep you posted for sure. We ordered all our food last night so hopefully we'll be able to start Monday. It's gonna be a very tough month and I might have to eat some form of vegetables, but maybe that's what I need to teach me to eat them, whether I like salad or not.

I got an interesting comment on my Myspace page this morning. J's sister in law messaged me saying "Why do you torture yourself so?" She's a ballsy one, I'll tell you that. Slight background: I was having fun at J's party, until the ball dropped. Then (as usual) I got no love.. barely a hug from him and I was peeved. Not to mention I was already a slight emotional basketcase, as the day tends to bring out in me. So, in order to make things easier, I just went upstairs and went to bed. He followed me up the stairs and basically said "you know how I am about PDA" and i do... but it's new year's.. a kiss on the cheek wouldn't have killed him... or would it have? ;) He came to bed shortly after, as he had to work the next day. I really tried to sneak up the stairs, as I was kind of mortified by the situation. I mean, he gave a better hug to his friend's wife in my opinion than he did to me and I was SURROUNDED by couples, and there I stood.. basically by myself. At one point he was like "I'm coming" but again, all I got was the half hearted hug. I think the look on my face must have been priceless. Not to mention me being asked the "So, you're J's girlfriend?" question. I told the people who asked, to ask him as nothing has really been set in stone officially. SO while I thought I was being stealth, apparently it didn't work and J's sister in law sent me the aforementioned message. Then again, I did have "new years is overrated" written on my myspace page. I wonder if that helped! Anyway, my response was "ha ha.. apparently I'm a masochist! I didn't realize my disdain for the situation was that obvious." I'm curious to see what/if she writes back. I haven't decided if I'm telling him she did that. I'd be curious to see his reaction since he's not a fan of her in the first place.

Then I woke up today with a headache that felt like someone was jamming an ice pick into my forehead.. and I'm all stuffed up. However, nothing can get in the way of the debut of the Wu Tang Clan at Afrim's tonight! lol.. We might have a few more subs so if I feel like crap, at least I can lessen my playing time. So, that's the scoop from this neck of the woods. It sucks being back to work, but I know everyone is feeling the same pain. Even you damn school teachers! Happy Hump Day and get ready for a new Project Runway episode tonight!

2008

Yeah yeah yeah, Happy New Year.. Blah blah blah..

I really hate New Year's Eve. It's totally overrated and it never goes quite the way you wish. I can't recall a new year's since my grandma died (on new years eve) that I can say I had a blast! This year was no different. I went to J's for a party and I had fun, but it wasn't.. well.. anything special. The minute the day started I had this feeling that I should have just stayed home by myself, but I went anyway. Girls... always trust your intuition. That's all I'm going to say!!!

I'm pretty happy that I have the day off today though, as it's started to snow again. However, it sure does look pretty. I wish we'd had this snow last week for Christmas instead of all the rain we got prior. If only I knew how to set up the DVD player (the Wii is hooked up instead), then I could watch a movie or five. :). Hope your New Year's was great and the start to a wonderful year!

What has gone on this week. People are crazy.. must be the holidays. Cash Warren and Jessica Alba got engaged, as did Josh Duhamel and Fergie.. I think it's nice that Cash is gonna make an honest woman out of Jessica.. that's sweet..

As for me.. I've been a slacker this holiday, huh!? My bad.. I'll try to get you caught up!

We won our last two soccer games to finish the season in second place with a record of 7-1. Our double header was TOUGH!! I admit, I was totally winded AND played like shit, which is not a great combination. Luckily, our many fans cheering us on helped and we pulled out both games. The last game we played was a tad scadnalous, as we scored a goal when their entire team wasn't on the field. However, Rudy the Ref told us to play and you do NOT mess with Rudy!! The woman who didn't make it back from the bathroom in time spent LITERALLY 15 minutes bitching to Rudy, but it was to no avail. She then bitched at the front desk about it, but again, it did no good. We start a new session this week with our new name: Wu Tang.. We wanted to be pootie tang, but it was deemed inappropriate.

I had dinner with my friend Crystal, who I went to Ireland with, her sister Jenny, my friend Rachael, who I went to visit in Ireland, her sister Shaine and Rachael's man Danny.. What a doll.. He's living in Ireland but is originally from New Zealand so I basically just wanted to listen to him talk. I'm a sucker for an accent. Unfortunately, with us four girls he could hardly get a word in edgewise! It was such a great time though. We had a great waiter and entertaining conversation, not to mention great food at Moscatiello's. What more could a girl ask for?!

It's time for me to practice on the Wii. I'm determined to beat J at bowling (I've already killed him in baseball and the home run derby, but he's got me at bowling so far).

Revelation

Today is the first day I realized that in "Walk Like An Egyptian" by The Bangles, they say "foreign types at the hookah pipe say." I always thought it was "foreign types in the hooker place say." I like my version better.

I'd write more, but Tre and I got the Wii for Christmas so... that's what I'll be doing. Yes, we're 31. Yes, we're spoiled.. Don't you wish you were too? ;)

Christmas = Friends = Good Times

Last night we had a party at our house, as my friend Chris is in town for the holidays from South Carolina. I think everyone had a great time and there was TONS of food!!! I made these seasoned pecans, which were a recipe I got from my cousin Chrissy (she likes to call them her "sweet nuts") and I also made a chicken wing dip that turned out really well. Yes, everyone was shocked that they were eating food made by me, and probably even more shocked that they enjoyed it! My ex Bill even came to the party. He and Chris moved down to SC at the same time, but he moved back last year. I haven't seen him in at least four years, and it was really nice to hang out and chat with him as well. Time for me to get a move on. I spent my day cooking my chocolate peanut butter balls, more pecans and some chocolate chip cookies, so I'm ready to relax. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

I'm still stuffed

Last night was our holiday dinner for work. We left the office around 3:30 and started off with drinks. I had what was called a "cobalt highballer" consisting of milk, vanilla, chocolate and butterscotch liquers and vodka.. topped with whipped cream and chocolate chips. It was potent and good.. I could feel it after just one, which is sad cause I really don't consider myself a total lightweight, but whatever. We were having appetizers so I thought I'd switch to beer... when the waitress brought us another round of the same thing. Lord!!! My co-worker and I both drank water at dinner just to compensate for the fact that we were already half in the bag! Our dinner was good, even though we were the only table in the restaurant. I guess everyone else was finishing off their Christmas shopping or something! We went to Lippera's in Chatham, where I'd never been before, and I had filet mignon with mashed potatoes (extra mashed since i said "NO" to the veggies they offered) then finished it off with a chocolate ganache cheesecake and an "adult" hot cocoa... MMMM... might have to start making those for myself! I went home, put on my jammy pants and somehow didn't pass out from food coma immediately. I'm still in shock and awe over how that didn't happen!

Our winning streak is still intact. We won 5-3 on Wednesday night, but it was a see-saw kind of game. We got three goals really quickly (ok.. one of them went off one of their players, but it still counts!) and I think we got a little lazy and cocky. The other team started to put stuff together and I believe it was 3-2 at halftime. We came back swinging though, and would have kept them scoreless had they not scored off Nikki's face (she was still sore yesterday!). We play them in the first game of our doubleheader next week so hopefully most of us having the day off and the added allure of fans will be just enough to net us a win. We're in second place in our league right now, which is pretty awesome, considering the trainwreck we were last session. It looks like we're going to play in the Winter 2 session, although people do seem to be dropping like flies. I guess it's just the season!

We all know of my love for The Real Housewives of Orange County and Jeana Keough. This gives her just one more good reason to no longer be with her husband, Matt.

If you're a Scrubs fan and an Office fan, this could work out well for you. I mean, come on. Who didn't kind of give Roy another look after his breakup from Pam makeover?!

Matt Damon? Oh no.. I'm going to go with THIS list for my next man.. espcially cause Peyton is on it... but he's not as high as Bill Belichick, which on this list, is a compliment.

Not much else to tell ya.. it's been one of those weeks I guess, with everyone getting ready for the holiday. I have a lot of cookie baking in my future so I might not have a chance to post until after the holidays. If that's the case, have a great Christmas!!

My Nomination for Mom of the Year

Oh Lynne Spears, where did you go wrong? I really thought this story as "breaking news" on MSNBC was a joke. Oh well... maybe this one will do what Britney couldn't.. ya know.. be a mother! (Ok, i know it's laughable, but I'm really trying to give the kid the benefit of the doubt).

Last night, I took J to Five Guys Burgers and Fries for dinner. I'd been wanting to go there for quite some time, and since he'd never been there I thought it'd be a great place for dinner. Let me tell you, the burgers were really great! Luckily, the girl thought I only said one large fry instead of two, because there is no way I would have eaten a whole one by myself. You certainly get some bang for your buck! I mean, we each got a bacon double cheeseburger, drinks and an order of fries (from Rigby, Idaho, might I add) for just under $20. Not so bad (especially if you're paying for dinner)! After that we went to see I Am Legend. I thought it was pretty good. I think J would have thought better of it if at one point I hadn't dug my nails so deep in his leg that there's NO WAY he doesn't still have the marks there today. What can I say? I'm a jumper and there were plenty of opportunities to do so in this movie. I recommend this movie. I think anyone would like it, even if you don't like the sci-fi elements, as there are other stories to keep you busy!

Tonight is soccer night at Afrim's! We're playing in Latham at 8:30, which is a change from our original schedule, which had us playing about an hour earlier. Oh well, what can you do? We also play this team next week, so we want to kick their ass the first time, and make them not even want to show up next week! Ok.. they seem pretty decent, so really we'd just like to win. No one wants to break the streak! I think I'll stick to defense tonight, unless we get up by quite a bit. I do want that goal, but not bad enough to F up our system. Viva La Lushes!!!

Honesty may be the best policy in this situation.

Am I disappointed? Yes, but does that mean I'll turn my back on my boy? No.. I mean, he admits to doing it once and realizes what a mistake he made. I give him a lot of credit for admitting it. I only hope others take his lead and give themselves the opportunity to bow down at the feet of the fans for forgiveness. We all make mistakes, but the public eye magnifies them a million times more. I think if you take the high road, the fans will give the benefit of the doubt. That's why they're fans.

I'm anxious to hear the O's official statement on the situation, and what will happen to B-Rob in the meantime. I mean, can you really penalize him for a one-time thing he admitted to? The jury's still out.

It might not be as cute as last year

but the O's holiday card always gives me the warm fuzzies.

Remember that 10 pounds I lost? Yeah... Christmas cookies are going to shoot that to shit, I'll tell ya that much.
